- Godannar (I'm cool with including this, but since I haven't watched the full series yet, and don't want to spoil myself, I'll be making big jumps in the storyline and using mostly just the broad strokes.)
- G Gundam (Very happy to use)
- Big O (As for Godannar)
- Zoids (mix of all series, including the UK comics. Little or no appearence by human characters)
- Gun X Sword (A storyline has been worked out, I just need to do some research)
- Gundam X in the Ruins of Turn-A Gundam (I've played Alpha Gaiden three times, that should be all the prep I need for this one)
- Elements of the SRW D, J, W and K original storylines (Ech...This is one were I'll be a little hesitant. I never really got into these stories like I did with the OG stuff, and detailed info on them is kinda sparse. And I definitely don't want to be spoiled on J, since its being translated this year. Ultimately, I'll have to see, but they won't be showing up for a while at least)
- Rule 63 versions of the Shura (I'm too straight to have any objections to this).
- Trigun (As for Godannar)
- Some kind of Virtual World (The intent would be to be able to use Code Lyoko, Reboot, Tron, Virtual On, and any other similar series, operating out of one shard.)
- The Flotilla (A space-faring faction composed of the Crossbone Vanguard, the Astray cast, and the crew of the Valguard, along with anyone they rescue from space)
- GGG Final (After the series, the remnants of the Sol dimension become part of the new world, stranding the Braves in this patchwork world)
- Kamen Rider Spirits (I've only read up to the Super 1/ZX showing up segment, but I cannot argue against this at all)
- Ghost in the Shell (I've seen both movies, but not SAC which I expect is a major element people want to see. Again, Godannar rules apply)
- Following that, My original Contributions
- Godzilla/Toholon: An original setting where kaiju threaten a world of superscience, set against a backdrop of mediveal cultures rudely accelerated to 1920/30s technology by mad scientists.
- The Psycho Sentai: Groups of Negarangers created by Dark Brain to destroy the Sentai that opposed him.
- And finally, my own requests:
- Escaflowne: A few voted for it in the previous thread, but mainly its all the fantast elements that kept sneaking in that made this one an easy pick. I am possibly the only person on earth who liked the opening to the Fox Dub (Not as much as Yakusoku wa Iranai of course, but I thought it was catchy)
- Kotetsushin Jeeg
- Grungusts, somehow (Because if we don't build the Neo Grungust soon you people are going to lynch me)
- Shin Getter Vs Neo Getter (I'm aware this should probably be the Getter Robo Go manga, but I'm way behind in manga reading as it is, I won't be getting to that. Plus, TEXAS MACK BITCHES!!!)
- Dangaioh (Dangaioh is one of those series which makes me go "This is awesome, but it could have been so much better!". The setup has a lot of potential, but its underused in the series itself. I'd like to try it out, see where it goes)
- Shit, I totally forgot a few of other peoples suggestions:
- -Orbit Exceeder Kerykeion (Couchs post-post-apocalyptic real robot setting, where a benevolent megacorp tries to clean up the world while fending off alien marauders)
- -Project ENIS (The infamous super robot who exemplifies /m/s fetish for hotblood and drills)
- -Kamen Rider Yen (A little wacky for my tastes, but still plausible I guess. Need to read more of the Archived stuff)
- -Gunranger (Still need to read, but as replacement for the lost sentai killed by the Psycho Rangers, an /m/ original team seems like a good choice)
- -Cowboy Bebop (Companions to Trigun, were meant to be bringing Vash in for the bounty when shit happened)
- -Gurren Lagann (Godannar principle so hard. I only got to episode 8 before I got sidetracked, I'm sorry)
- - Transformers: Grimlock was suggested, as his Beast Wars version turned into a zoid. My continuity alarm says the size difference makes that difficult at best, so the original comic version, stuck at the south pole after fighting Shockwave, makes more sense to me.
- My final suggestions: The truly crazy ideas
- More Transformers: Grimlock is a good start, real good, but I have a few favorites of my own to try. Even if we just stick to G1, I have a few of my favorite Decepticons that I'd like to secrete into the setting.
- Superior Defender OG Force: A mad suggestion by someone on the last thread, the idea of sentient OG mecha, possibly sized to their Endless Frontier sizes, attempting to save Princess Valsione from her evil father and his goblin-eqsue Divine Crusaders...It works too well. Plus, it allows us to have a full-sized Grungust as the Final Godlike Weapon that we can appropriate...for certain purposes.
- Macross 2 Plus 7: Again, it seems I'm the only person in the universe who likes Macross II. Something about the Marduk always resonated with me more than the Canon Protoculture or the Robotech Master. But why simply redo another short OVA that had good ideas and didn't use them, when we can have it both ways? Slip elements of other Macross series into the proceedings, such as certain duo of asshole pilots, and a certain band, and we could have something...
- 40k: Not the whole setting of course, but a single piece of a single world, mostly likely a hive city, with a Titan or two to make things interesting. It can't end well, but then, what can in this world?
- And finally, the true proof that I am completely insane...
- Fate/Stay Night
- The Grail was formed. Then it broke, and the world broke with it. Now the Servants are free again, lost in this new world, fighting a new grail war that may be beyond their control.
- F/SN is, more than any other fiction I know aisde from maybe 40k, the ultimate spawner of ideas. Say what you will about the quality of the actual product, the concept is a fantastic example of "What can I do with this?". You can alter it in a thousand ways, minor or major, and it can still work. That is an idea you don't overlook if you can help it.
- There are multiple ways we could try doing this:
- Noble Phantasm: Steel Giant
- In this version, we're using the original 7 Nasu Servants, as presented in the visual novel, but as part of the spell that brought them to this new world, they've been given the power to summon appropriate mecha to fight new threats they might face. We can either design mecha for them or have them borrow mecha from existing fiction. I like this option because Rider is Mai Waifu and the others don't have her.
- 7 Legendary Heroes of /m/
- Here, we take 7 /m/ characters and their mechs, and place them in F/SN's class slots. This gives us the option to whittle down our number of series picks by using the characters as Servants rather than survivors of a shard.
- Emiya Shiro, launching in the Saber!
- This version focuses on the Masters, and uses the Servants as the basis for their mecha. I'm fairly sure appropriate designs are floating about on the internet that we can borrow.
