  21. Basic Use
  22. 1. Loading MIDI files
  23. Press the 'Load MIDI' button
  24. Select a MIDI file (Must be a single-track file, some examples are included with the patch)
  25. Press the 'Process' button
  26. Wait until the 'Done Indicator' flashes red
  27. repeat process with other MIDI files if desired

  29. 2.Loading VST Instrument
  30. Press the 'Load VST' button
  31. Select your VST instrument (On a mac, they are found in "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST")
  32. Press the 'Open VST' button
  33. Setup the instrument in your desired configuration

  35. 3. Loading samples
  36. Drag samples from your computer into the 'Drop Audio Sample Here' boxes
  37. Drag the waveform to your desired start-point (start point is defined at the left boundary of the viewer)

  39. 4. Recording Sample
  40. Make sure the correct input source is selected
  41. Enable DSP (click the ezdac button in the top right)
  42. Press the 'Start/Stop Record' to begin the recording
  43. Press it again to stop
  44. Drag the waveform to your desired start-point (start point is defined at the left boundary of the viewer)

  46. 5. Probability Grids
  47. Click within the yellow squares to change the probability of the rhythms of each instrument. (Lower is more probable)

  49. 6. Mixing interface
  50. Adjust the sliders to change the gain of each instrument
  51. the solo and mute toggles can be selected at any time
  52. The overall gain can be adjusted at the top right of the patch
  53.  
  54. 7. Tempo
  55. the tempo can be changed by adjusting the number box manually
  56. you can tap tempo using the button provided
  57. you can use the Conductors Baton (The threshold of which can be changed using the labelled slider)
  58. You can elect to make the tap tempo and conductors baton audible with the 'Beat Sound' checkbox

  60. 8. Other settings
  61. Select 'Texture Randomisation' if you would like a varying texture in the music
  62. Select 'Pitch Track' if you would like the recorded/dragged sample at the bottom to follow the key of the music
  63. Adjust the playback speed dial at the bottom to manually change the pitch of the recorded/dragged sample (This will only work with the 'Pitch Track' toggle disabled).
  64. Clicking in the white square next to the Arpeggio grid will change the timbre of the arpeggio synth.
  65. The main output filtering can be edited using the filter graph and the menu above can be used to select the filtering type.

  67. 9. The spacebar is used to start or stop the patch (or you can click the large checkbox in the upper left)
  68. The 'M' key can be used at any time to un-mute all the tracks
