  1. Phase I: Application
  2.
  3. This is the very first phase, where the Recruitment Unit reviews all the applications sent by the applicants. Background checks of the details provided commence here. All results are then published together (( within the application thread itself )), as mentioned in the academy schedule. The proper and official application form can be found HERE.
  4.
  5. Application can either be accepted or denied based on the background checks performed, such as: improper application format, criminal record, input from previous employer, etcetera.
  6.
  7. Anyone who has cleared Phase I is then considered a Deputy Sheriff Recruit and constantly supervised and monitored by Recruitment Unit deputies, especially within the Training Centre. Recruits are issued necessary equipment within the Training facility to continue with their next phases and are provided internal clearances and access required for their level.
  8.
  9. (( Applicants whose application have been forwarded should take care and be informed of this as well. ))
  10.
  11.
  12. Phase II: Evaluations
  13.
  14. This stage consists of an interview and a fitness evaluation. These two steps ensure that you are fit for the following stages as well as fit for police work in the State of San Andreas in general. The interview can be classed as job interview while the fitness evaluation puts you under physical pressure to check up on your current fitness. Take a look at the evaluations schedule to find out when you are able to get your interview and fitness evaluation handled. Evaluations take place at SASD's Training Centre in San Fierro. More details are revealed once you have successfully cleared Phase I.
  15.
  16. (( Your roleplay is also heavily tested during this session as well as knowledge to communicate and understand English in-game. Another step of this stage is the TeamSpeak check, which is really just a quick check to see if your microphone works (if you applied with one), if you are able to understand spoken English and to get to know you a little better.
  17.
  18. If you experience problems with your microphone during this step, you can contact a member of Executive Staff for a late no microphone permission, however, being able to use TeamSpeak to listen in on what others say is mandatory. Check the evaluation schedule to see when evaluators are available for this check. ))

  21. Phase III: Training
  22.
  23. The training stage teaches you everything a new deputy sheriff of the San Andreas Sheriff's Department needs to know for the first time on police duty. Among other points, this stage includes knowledge of our department, correct usage of our equipment and how to approach and secure suspects for different reasons correctly. During this stage you are also still being put under physical pressure. The training is done at the SASD Academy Center. You can sign in on a training session after passing the evaluation stage.
  24.
  25. (( More information on this phase is also available upon completing Phase II. ))
  26.
  27.
  28. Phase IV: Examination
  29.
  30. The last stage tests you for the knowledge taught during phase III, the training stage, with a written exam.
  31.
  32. After attending a training session, you are asked to return to the SASD Academy Center the following day at a specified time in order to receive and fill out your written exam under supervision of an invigilator of the San Andreas Sheriff's Department.
  33.
  34. Recruitment Unit publishes all the results together as mentioned on the academy schedule. The results are published at the Training Centre, the Dillimore HQ as well as the online website. The graduation ceremony then takes place, where the deputies are officially sworn in and receive their badge and standard issue from the Sheriff.
  35.
  36. (( More information on this phase is made available immediately upon completing Phase III, by your academy instructor. ))
