Aimu's Not a Kid!

To the elite team of Zodiac Guiding Star Aimu had always been the pampered little sister. Each of her teammates would dote on her and spoil her rotten. Ginrei would always have the sweetest treats ready for Aimu at morning tea, Syuri would indulge in reading manga with Aimu and Kurohoro would playfully wind Aimu up but made sure to patch things up afterwards. Leo, the wealthy heiress and team leader had taken upon herself to mother little Aimu and would pet her younger teammates head and hug her tightly.

 

Still Aimu didn't always respond positively to all this attention. She'd puff her cheeks and pout, scolding her friends because they didn't take her seriously. Her upperclassmen would pat her head and pinch her rosy cheeks, the whole while baby-talking for her to settle down.

 

Aimu had enough 'That's it! I'm tired of being treated like a kid! I'm gonna show all of you!' Aimu shoved her friends aside and stomped her way out of the ninja room with a plan to show just how grown up she was by demonstrating her power as a shinobi. She'd take down the vile Touno Tengu squad all by herself. That would show them. Aimu jumped around and posed with her bowgun 'I'll shoot 'em up! Pow! Pow! Ker-Pow!'

 

In town Aimu ran into Nachi and Ushimaru. How fortunate, it seemed they had left their reclusive lair to go shopping. Aimu acted swiftly, sending a volley of bolts flying towards the two enemy shinobi. 'Die you stupid dumbies!' She snarled. Every bolt missed, getting lodged in the wall behind her targets. Ushimaru sheepishly raised her head and Nachi readied her fishing rod.

 

'It seems we found a fight.' Nachi's eyes peeked open.

 

Aimu was fuming 'I'm gonna riddle you with holes! Then the other girls will take me seriously!'

 

Nachi cupped her cheek and tilted her head 'Oh deary me, is that what this is all about?' She giggled 'Why don't we forget this whole mess and go eat some ice cream? That will make you feel better!'

 

On the one hand, Nachi was the enemy but on the other hand Aimu loved ice cream. Aimu squinted her eyes at Nachi 'Okay, but no funny stuff you hear?' Aimu agitatedly pointed her bowgun at Nachi. 'And I get to have two cones!'

 

'Oh you, stop being silly and let's get you a treat!' Nachi waved her hand dismissively.

 

So Aimu had ice cream with her enemies and was even tricked into sitting in Nachi's lap. 'Oh isn't she adorable, Ushimaru?' The cowprint shinobi slowly nodded her head.

 

Their time together would be short-lived however as the rest of Zodiac squad had come to look for Aimu. They were worried about their friend and wanted to reassure her. When they spotted Aimu in Nachi's lap Kurohoro suffered a laughing-fit 'Did she really get tricked with ice cream?' she gasped, desperate for air.

 

Aimu sat up, with cream covered over her lips. She looked at her team mates with wide-eyes 'I wasn't tricked!' Aimu tried to reassure herself 'I'm not some dumb kid who can get tricked that easy!'

 

Zodiac squad weren't convinced but they were just happy to see Aimu safe and sound. They surrounded their little sister, cleaned her up and lavished her with affection. 'Oh, just come back with us! We still love you!' Leo gushed, talking slowly in a high voice 'Come give me a hug and it will be all better!' Aimu huffed like a spoiled brat and reluctantly accepted Leo's cuddles. Nachi and Ushimaru used the distraction to sneak away and leave Zodiac with the bill.
