  1. 1. Prepot on 2.5 and cast Arcane Blast on 2.
  2.
  3. 2. Depending on how your PoF Trinket procs you have two slightly different openers.
  4. Opener 1 - Trinket procs on the boss in your first 2 Arcane Blasts. Use PoM to build up to 3 arcane charges and put crystal down.
  5. With your crystal down your priority is weave any Arcane Missiles into the boss (ONLY) while Mark of Doom is up. If you
  6. don't have any AM procs or the Mark of Doom expires then just unload AB into the crystal until it ends. After the
  7. crystal expires you will probably still have a few seconds of Arcane Power up so just unload AB into the boss until it
  8. ends, then use evocation back to 95%+ mana.
  9. Opener 2 - Trinket doesn't proc on the boss in your first 2 ABs. If this happens instantly put your crystal down, pop Arcane power
  10. and unload ABs into it. This will increase the chance of Mark of Doom proccing on your crystal which is the best
  11. possible scenario. From here 3 things can happen, trinket procs on the crystal, trinket procs on the boss or trinket
  12. doesn't proc at all. (Crystal damage can proc MoD on anything it damages). You want it to proc on your crystal but there
  13. is no way to guarantee it. If it does proc on the boss then simply do the same as opener 1 and weave your missiles into
  14. the boss while casting your ABs on the crystal. If the trinket does proc on the crystal however, your priority is to
  15. unload any AM procs into the Mark on your crystal. If you're lucky your 4pc will also proc from these arcane missiles
  16. and you will do INSANE damage. However if you don't get any AM procs just unload ABs into the crystal until it expires.
  17. If your trinket doesn't even proc on the boss or the crystal then your opener is going to be lame. Just unload ABs into
  18. the crystal and only cast AM if you get to 3 charges. Keep putting ABs into your crystal until it expires. Do the same
  19. as opener 1 for the remaining time on Arcane Power.
  20. Note: Do not cast AM on a target that is about to die (Including your crystal) They won't reach the target and it'll be dps loss.
  21. Note: With class trinket it doesn't matter if you burn down to 10% mana. Keep going until you either run out of mana or your
  22. arcane power expires. Then use evocation to regain your mana. if you can evo to 90% mana then you don't need to wait for
  23. another tick of Evo since you'll regen most of the remaining 10% during your next AB cast.
  24.
  25. 3. Being at 100% mana is bad. If you reach 100% mana it means that you could have cast another 4 charge arcane blast. What you're
  26. currently doing is: AB1>AB2>AB3>AB4>casting all AM procs>ABarrage. By doing this you're burning mana by casting 4 ABs but letting it regen while you cast AM. Then you cast ABarrage which allows your mana to regen to 100% faster than you can burn it with your next 4 AB casts. So instead of casting all of your AM procs after each other, cast an AB in-between each one. However if you get lucky with your AM procs you will burn too much mana by casting an AB in between each one. In this case then once you've burned enough mana (Down to 85% max) just cast your remaining AM, ABarrage and continue your normal rotation. If you don't have any AM procs then you can just cast two 4 charge arcane blasts in a row then ABarrage. Don't do this every time. Just when you're close to 100% mana.
  27. Note: If your going to enter a burn phase soon, try to stay at 95% mana so when you pop your cooldowns you will have a lot of mana
  28. to burn through.
  29.
  30. 4. I noticed you sometimes cancelled your 4th AB and cast an AM instead. Only cast your AM if you're on 4 stacks of Arcane charges.
  31. There is an exception to this and that is when your Mark of Doom procs. Then your highest priority is to use AM on the Mark regardless of how many Arcane charges you have.
  32.
  33. 5. Don't move as much!
  34.
  35. 6. Always use blink to reposition, it will be up 99% of the time you need it to be. Ice Floes is better for small movements like to avoid mechanics such as Wrought Chaos, or the Fel Stalker's Consume Magic. Try not to use it to run far distances unless you really have to.
  36. 7. Save your Crystal and Arcane Power for the ring. Arcane does so much damage in the burn phase, and the ring amplifies it by a huge amount. Waiting the extra 30 seconds is worth it. The only situation you'd pop crystal before ring is if you know the ring is being delayed by a lot, or the boss is going to be moving while the ring is active.
  37.
  38. 8. Track your 2pc / 4pc procs. This sort of ties in with point 3. If you get 1,2,3 or even 4 tier piece procs then you get 12% damage increase from each one. This is huge, and burning a little bit of mana on 4 charge ABs is very good while these are active.
  39. Depending on how long is left until your next burn phase you could burn down to 75% mana if you get good procs here. But you must make sure to regen the mana before the burn phase comes. But it is very important to track the 2pc and 4pc procs so you know when is a good time to burn some extra mana.
  40. 9. If your PoF trinket hasn't procced in a long while, or specific AoE phases are coming up, it can be a good idea to always save 1 AM proc just in case your trinket procs. For example, on Archimonde when he summons adds, if your trinket procs during this phase and you have AM procs you will do crazy amounts of damage. This can be another example of when to burn a bit of mana to get more AM procs to put into the mark.
  41. 10. It isn't in our spellbook but Arcane mages have increased mana regen with higher haste, so when hero is up don't be afraid to cast even more 4 charge ABs because the mana will regen a lot faster.
  42.
  43. 11. This isn't specific to Arcane but Alter time is the best talent to take in that tier for every fight. Here is a few uses:
  44. Iron Reaver - Regain health after pounding or Artillery. Or to Reposition after a barrage.
  45. Kormrok - Get back to the boss instantly after soaking a splash.
  46. Council - Drop reap on the other side of the room and instantly return to the marks.
  47. Killrog - If you get heart seeker drop it right at the back, return to the mark with full hp. *You can also greater invis the DoT.
  48. Gorefiend - Drop mark of doom far away in the middle of other pools then return to the middle of the room full hp.
  49. Iskar - If you get winds alter time gives you more time and can reposition yourself if you don't get thrown the orb right away.
  50. Xhul - Drop fire far away and return to the group. Or if you feel frisky then drop fire off the edge of the room then alter time back.
  51. Manneroth - Shadowforce, return next to the boss to give more casting time and less chance of getting thrown off.
  52. Archimonde - This is tough, but if you get Shadowfel Burst then you can alter time back down to the ground to continue casting. However you still need to soak the damage.
  53. The great thing about this talent is that its a better defensive than the other 2 and it also increases your dps by letting you move less. Which is especially good for Arcane since you should try to stand still as much as you can.
  54.
  55. 12. I don't remember if I already mentioned this but if you know you'll be bursting soon, try to time it so you have 4 arcane charges before you begin. Then burst exactly the same as the opener. Including putting AM into a target with Mark on it.
