  1. [21:25] * Elsa heads to find Ivan somewhere in the middle of the eternal afternoon, meeting up by the train station
  2. [21:27] * Ivan is sitting on one of the benches, just watching the empty tracks. He looks like he's waiting to catch the next train out of town. Misha is curled up half in his lap.
  3. [21:27] * Elsa floats over with her ghost chandelier and her two main mans prowling on either side
  4. [21:28] <Elsa> <Think anyone will try to find this town after we come back?>
  5. [21:28] <Ivan> "I won't. I want nothing to do with this place once we return."
  6. [21:29] <Elsa> <I suppose that is one outlook.>
  7. [21:30] <Ivan> "Why? You can't possibly feel sentimental about this town."
  8. [21:31] <Elsa> <Not sentimental, but there is an appreciation for this place. We have all grown stronger, partly due to this event.>
  9. [21:31] <Elsa> <I'm curious to see what the reaction would be if one were to return here and see the town living, where we have lived in it's death.>
  10. [21:34] <Ivan> "It's just a little village in Italy. There are hundreds of them and they all look like this."
  11. [21:34] <Ivan> Ivan's tone is exceptionally surly, even for him.
  12. [21:36] <Elsa> <Normally one would be elated to be going back, is something the matter?>
  13. [21:38] <Ivan> He takes in a deep breath and sighs.
  14. [21:39] <Ivan> "Even if we succeed in going back to our proper time, none of us can properly return to our old lives."
  15. [21:40] <Ivan> "Well, perhaps that is a stretch." He looks at Elsa, impassive. "You and I certainly cannot."
  16. [21:40] * Elsa laughs, <Indeed. I don't exactly plan to.>
  17. [21:42] * Ivan rubbed his cheek. "I don't know what I plan to do."
  18. [21:44] <Elsa> <First, decide what you DON'T want to do, planning becomes easier when avoiding those outcomes.>
  19. [21:45] <Ivan> "I don't want to die, if I can avoid it."
  20. [21:45] <Ivan> "Nor do I want to be arrested. So returning to Russia seems...impossible."
  21. [21:45] <Chase> This is cute, guys but why are you RPing in the OOC channel
  22. [21:45] <Ivan> blame happeh he started it
  23. 01[21:48] <Elsa> MAN
  24. 01[21:48] <Elsa> SHUT UP
  25. 01[21:48] <Elsa> 1,1I thought it was the game channel
  26. 01[21:49] <Elsa> http://pastebin.com/5cSTcWCS
  27. 01[21:50] <Elsa> <Where did you say your train was headed, before all of this began?>
  28. [21:51] <Ivan> "To the northeast. Belgium or thereabouts."
  29. [21:51] <Ivan> "Where I was actually meant to go, I hadn't received those orders yet."
  30. 01[21:53] <Elsa> <Belgium has many cities, I've heard, someone could get lost in them.>
  31. 01[21:55] <Elsa> <If we had been on the same train, I could offer assistance more directly.>
  32. 01[21:57] <Elsa> <As a Russian leaving the army, and obviously not wishing to turn to Germany for help, would you be leaving Europe?>
  33. 06[21:57] * Ivan snorts a little and almost smiles.
  34. [21:57] <Ivan> "I suppose that would be an option. Groudon may have suggested the same."
  35. 01[21:58] <Elsa> <Asia Major is always an option, but a little closer to home.>
  36. [22:00] <Ivan> "Potentially too close. If I leave, I must go far."
  37. 01[22:00] <Elsa> <I was planning on staying in Europe, traveling for a while, but I can see the wisdom in simply going.>
  38. [22:02] <Ivan> "Even if we win here, this all started because this war marks the beginning of the sharp decline, right?"
  39. [22:02] <Ivan> "I can't imagine that Europe will recover soon."
  40. 01[22:05] <Elsa> <Oh, more than likely. With the death reports so far, and the war still going strong it will affect the region for years.>
  41. 01[22:06] <Elsa> <I will simply be a spectator.>
  42. 06[22:06] * Ivan crosses his arms. "I may be able to forge something to get to America."
  43. 01[22:09] <Elsa> <The Americans are a rowdy bunch, would you trust them to not act rashly if you land there?>
  44. [22:10] <Ivan> "They will have to catch me after that." He smiles.
  45. 06[22:11] * Elsa smiles, <In case I do end up in the States eventually, would you prefer isolation?>
  46. 01[22:12] <Elsa> <I doubt that a German woman and a Russian man would be the most inconspicuous pair.>
  47. 06[22:12] * Ivan shakes his head. "I have been alone a long time, it may not be the best for me."
  48. [22:15] <Ivan> "I'm sure there are places where we wouldn't be bothered. Groudon seems to prefer Mexican desert."
  49. 01[22:18] <Elsa> <I am not certain how I'd fare in a desert. My body has adjusted to certain facts and I am interested to see what happens.>
  50. 06[22:19] * Elsa motions to a flame she creates
  51. [22:20] <Ivan> "Seems like you'd be much more at home in a desert than I would."
  52. 01[22:21] <Elsa> <At first glance that might be true, unless my body requires a lower ambient climate.>
  53. 06[22:22] * Ivan chuckles. "We can test that here. Groudon's hiding out in a chamber full of magma."
  54. 06[22:22] * Elsa shrugs, <I've been, not since the powers have fully bloomed though.>
  55. 01[22:24] <Elsa> <I have not spoken with all of the others, but I will proceed under the assumption that they intend to stay their course with the war.>
  56. [22:24] <Ivan> "They seem the type, yes."
  57. 01[22:25] <Elsa> <Well no, Karsten did state he would.>
  58. 01[22:27] <Elsa> <With you heading for America, and myself wondering for the near future, would you ask any of the others to keep in touch?>
  59. [22:28] <Ivan> "I don't see why I would. We aren't exactly friends."
  60. 01[22:28] <Elsa> <Associates in a common event. One that I doubt has many equals.>
  61. [22:29] <Ivan> "Still." He tilts his head to look at Elsa. "You are the only one to make much effort to be more than that. The others are just the others."
  62. 01[22:31] <Elsa> <I think they frequently forget that I was slated to gather intelligence in unofficial channels.>
  63. [22:32] <Ivan> "And yet the Swords only call -me- the spy."
  64. 01[22:32] <Elsa> <I would appreciate if you do not bring that up specifically, by the way. But yes, I can understand certain prejudices and attempt to avoid them.>
  65. 01[22:33] <Elsa> <I would not go so far as to say that I speak to others simply for the joy of companionship. There has always been a selfish motive, I believe that I already told you that I was interested in what you would do.>
  66. [22:34] <Ivan> "Indeed. I hope I didn't disappoint too badly."
  67. 06[22:37] * Elsa lets out a sharp single laugh, <This battle is not the end of your actions, even inaction has it's reasons and consequences. It is hard to disappoint, unless you die for a simple reason.>
  68. 01[22:37] <Elsa> <I will be bitterly upset with you if you drown on your way over to America.>
  69. 06[22:37] * Elsa crosses her arms
  70. [22:38] <Ivan> "Russians love the sea, but not so much that we'd try to jump off a boat into it."
  71. 01[22:39] <Elsa> <Water is a necessity, but I doubt that I will enjoy being surrounded by it.>
  72. 01[22:41] <Elsa> <What sort of path should I look for that will survive for a period of time that neither of us know?>
  73. 01[22:41] <Elsa> <A specific town in the States or landmark that might bare a note that only those here would understand?>
  74. 06[22:42] * Ivan shakes his head. "I have no idea. The Americas are not my area of expertise. We may have to ask the woman."
  75. 01[22:44] <Elsa> <Still holding some bitterness towards her?>
  76. 06[22:45] * Ivan shakes his head. "No, there's no sense in that."
  77. 06[22:47] * Elsa holds a hand up, <Ah thank you for mentioning her, I had nearly forgotten.> She nods, <In any case yes, it might be better to ask.>
  78. [22:49] <Ivan> "Or Groudon. He seems to know his way around."
  79. 01[22:51] <Elsa> <The human cities though?>
  80. 01[22:51] <Elsa> <I suppose if a natural landmark survives it would work just as well, but maps tend to forego those notes.>
  81. 06[22:51] * Ivan shrugs. "I have no way of knowing for certain."
  82. 01[22:54] <Elsa> <Well, we can always ask Cait and Groudon both.>
  83. [22:56] <Ivan> "We may as well, if you're serious. It doesn't matter much to me."
  84. 01[22:58] <Elsa> <It will most likely not be for some years before I reach the Americas, it would need to be a serious hint for me even to have a chance to find you. Well, I could always attempt to find you through some other channels, but I am not certain if you'd even be with Groudon.>
  85. [22:58] <Ivan> "Neither am I. I've never had to make plans like this on my own."
  86. 01[23:00] <Elsa> <Exciting, isn't it.> Her mental tone is neutral, not overly exciting
  87. [23:01] <Ivan> "No."
  88. 01[23:01] <Elsa> <Nervewracking, tense?>
  89. [23:01] <Ivan> "This whole time, the whole war, I've only wanted to go home, and now I can't. Or shouldn't."
  90. 06[23:02] * Ivan looks down at the tracks. "Even if we win here, I can't help feeling like I lose."
  91. 01[23:02] <Elsa> <Hrm, I suppose I hadn't thought of it that way. If you wish to head East instead of West after this is over. I could offer my support breaking into Russia.>
  92. 01[23:03] <Elsa> <Now that I am not in danger of freezing in the winter, camping seems less like an obstacle.>
  93. [23:04] <Ivan> "Russia is...hm...things are strange there now. I'm not sure what will happen in the long term."
  94. 01[23:06] <Elsa> <Family or simply homeland calling you back?>
  95. [23:07] <Ivan> "I am just homesick. But I think I really miss the way things were before the revolution."
  96. [23:07] <Ivan> "It was more simple."
  97. 01[23:10] <Elsa> <Well. I intend to keep things simple for a while, personally.>
  98. [23:13] <Ivan> "That's a good idea. If you do go east, be careful."
  99. 01[23:14] <Elsa> <I will keep things within a limit. Care is not one of my virtues.>
  100. [23:14] <Ivan> "No, it is not. I will not be there to help you."
  101. 01[23:14] <Elsa> <I have my family.>
  102. 06[23:15] * Elsa puts a hand on Wyrda and Anbruch
  103. [23:15] <Ivan> "I suppose that's a start."
  104. [21:32] * Ivan pushes Misha off him enough to stand up. "We might as well go ask the mon himself."
  105. [21:32] <Elsa> <I find no fault in this logic.>
  106. [21:33] * Ivan waves and heads down off the train platform, winding through town towards the caverns.
  107. [21:35] <KamenWriter> Going to see Groudon I see?
  108. [21:35] <Ivan> Yes indeed
  109. [21:35] <KamenWriter> Alrighty
  110. [21:36] <KamenWriter> You head over to Groudon's lair.
  111. [21:36] <KamenWriter> He's lounging around, curled up in a corner.
  112. [21:36] * Elsa floats after, idly conversing with Surtr in their heads
  113. [21:36] <KamenWriter> As you walk into the chamber, your fire types naturally feel right at home.
  114. [21:37] * Ivan has to pull at his collar again. "I always forget how warm it is in here."
  115. [21:37] <Elsa> <Quite nice.>
  116. [21:38] <KamenWriter> Once you speak, he raises up his head. He blinks his eyes a few times.
  117. [21:38] * Elsa smiles and floats down to rest on one leg, <Should've come by sooner to see what it was like.>
  118. [21:38] <KamenWriter> <oh howdy.>
  119. [21:39] <KamenWriter> <Something you fergot?>
  120. [21:40] * Ivan waves Elsa on. "It's your question."
  121. [21:41] <Elsa> <Oh well yes. If I wanted to place a message in America where it could be read for years to come, but needed to be easily found, where would a good location be?>
  122. [21:41] <KamenWriter> <Wut?>
  123. [21:42] <KamenWriter> <A message? Well I dunno. Why do you wanna leave a message?>
  124. [21:43] <Elsa> <To show where you were going, staying, or simply passing through after leaving that location. A trail to follow.>
  125. [21:44] <KamenWriter> <Never thought about it much before. Having too many crazy humans on your tail is never really a good thing. Inevitably you get some kook tryin' to catch you in some apricorn ball and you have to bite his head off just to shut 'im up.>
  126. [21:45] <KamenWriter> <Depends on who you want to find you, I guess.>
  127. [21:45] * Elsa points at Ivan
  128. [21:45] <KamenWriter> <Oh.>
  129. [21:46] <Elsa> <If I were to reach the Americas in the next several years, I doubt I would be able to find him without either constant contact, or contact with someone with him.>
  130. [21:47] * Ivan rubs the back of his head. "I...may have decided to leave Europe."
  131. [21:47] <KamenWriter> <Huh, gotcha.>
  132. [21:48] <KamenWriter> <So you wanna leave me a message?>
  133. [21:49] <KamenWriter> <So I can help you guys find eachother?>
  134. [21:50] * Rosetta is now known as castfromhp
  135. [21:50] * Elsa considers, <I don't think that was a necessity, unless there wouldn't be an appropriate landmark to put a message that would last for the appropriate time.>
  136. [21:51] * Chase is now known as Kain
  137. [21:52] <Elsa> <I would ask briefly, how easy is it for legendary Pokemon to contact one another.>
  138. [21:54] <KamenWriter> <Well, pretty easy. We can kinda... feel eachother, if we want to be felt. We don't know exactly where or how far away they are, but you can tell a direction.>
  139. [21:54] <KamenWriter> <Other than that, we get ahol' of eachother when we feel like it. Not much of a rush when you're both immortal.>
  140. [21:55] <Elsa> <Well I suppose that we don't really need to worry about the messages then. As long as you let Groudon know where you'll be or are with him when I get around to visiting.>
  141. [21:55] <KamenWriter> <If'n I was you guys, I'd decide now where and when you wanted to meet and meet there, and not be all worried about leaving notes for eachother.>
  142. [21:56] <KamenWriter> :I <Some... plans I should be a-knowin' about?>
  143. [21:56] <Elsa> <No, simply if I were to go to America, to meet up.>
  144. [21:56] <Ivan> "Not really. She wants to watch the war continue and I intend to leave it at first opportunity."
  145. [21:57] <KamenWriter> <Oh, well that's fine.>
  146. [21:59] <Ivan> "Why wouldn't it have been fine?"
  147. [21:59] <Elsa> <Haha.>
  148. [22:00] <KamenWriter> He shrugs, <Nothin'. Y'all seem interesting enough, whatever you wanna do, if I feel like it, I'll go along with it.>
  149. [22:00] <KamenWriter> <We're easy to find, if you know where to look. In my case, I like dry spots, maybe with some volcanoes, and I keep track of 'em, to make sure they're nice and hot.>
  150. [22:01] <KamenWriter> <If you know a nice active volcano, I'm probably nearby, and I'm faster than I look.>
  151. [22:03] <Ivan> "Sounds even warmer than this." He sweats a little.
  152. [22:04] <Elsa> <It is quite odd, I always liked the warm better than cold. Changing my perception of heat this much is still a shock.> She looks quite comfy
  153. [22:05] <KamenWriter> <Nah, this ain't nothing. I SHOULD be feeling vesuvius around thataway, lower down in the boot,> he points southeast, down the Italian Penninsula you assume, <But the space is still screwy.>
  154. [22:07] <KamenWriter> <I'm just doing the best I can with what I got, but not going so overboard that I make an Entei pup by mistake. Poor kids.>
  155. [22:07] <Elsa> <Hrm, I feel that I'm missing a story.>
  156. [22:08] * Ivan squints. "By mistake? That happens?"
  157. [22:08] * Elsa looks tempted to head down the bend to see how much heat she resists, but stays, <I appreciate you answering those questions.>
  158. [22:09] <KamenWriter> <'Course. Enteis is made from Volcanoes, and little Enteis is made from tiny volcanoes, but they can die if you don't dig 'em out in tim- uh anyway... s'aright.>
  159. [22:10] * Elsa considers, <Theoretically, could humans create Enteis from artificially creating volcanoes.>
  160. [22:10] <Ivan> "That's terrible."
  161. [22:10] * Elsa holds her hands up, <Just in interest of knowing, that would not sit well with my traveling partner.>
  162. [22:11] <KamenWriter> <Uh, I guess... maybe? There's a lot of "Power of the earth" "soul of fire" blah-blah-blah mojo involved that's kinda over my head.>
  163. [22:11] <KamenWriter> <I just think they're sweethearts.>
  164. [22:12] * Elsa rubs at Wyrda's bigfluff
  165. [22:12] <Ivan> "This is the closest I've been to a volcano."
  166. [22:13] <KamenWriter> <Well, anything else you guys need?>
  167. [22:14] <Elsa> <No, good luck in whatever the future holds for you. We might meet again.>
  168. [22:14] <Ivan> "I don't believe so. You can simply contact Groudon via Terrakion then?"
  169. [22:15] <KamenWriter> <Oh, I guess you could. You buddies with him now? That's surprisin'.>
  170. [22:15] <Elsa> <We are traveling together, buddies is a term I would not reserve.>
  171. [22:15] <Elsa> <It will be good company.>
  172. [22:15] <KamenWriter> <Oh. Kay.>
  173. [22:16] <Ivan> "I'm not sure Terrakion can be 'buddies' with anyone."
  174. [22:17] <KamenWriter> Groudon laughs. It sounds a lot like the cavern collapsing if he goes on too long.
  175. [22:18] <Ivan> "Glad you agree."
  176. [22:18] * Elsa doesn't change her facial expression, <He has more depth than you give him credit for.>
  177. [22:19] <KamenWriter> <Him and me are both mountainborn, ma'am. Believe me, I know his depths. You're absolutely right.>
  178. [22:20] <KamenWriter> <Doesn't stop him from being kind of a pill.>
  179. [22:21] <KamenWriter> <BUT, I don't hate 'im, so he's welcome too.>
  180. [22:21] * Ivan holds his hand towards Groudon. "Exactly."
  181. [22:22] * Elsa shrugs, <Well yes, we might be visiting, or not if he stops traveling with me before I make it to the States.>
  182. [22:22] <Ivan> "I doubt he'd leave before that."
  183. [22:26] <Ivan> "So I suppose the only real issue will be me locating you."
  184. [22:27] <KamenWriter> <Well, we talked about that a little before. I'm probably going to central america after this. There's good deserts in Mexico.>
  185. [22:27] <KamenWriter> <Beyond that... I dunno.>
  186. [22:28] <Ivan> "If I wander the deserts too long, I'll die. You know that, right?" He laughs.
  187. [22:29] <KamenWriter> <Well, there's always Popocatepetl. Big ole Volcano, but the area ain't too bad for humans.>
  188. [22:30] <KamenWriter> <How bout you meet me there?>
  189. [22:30] * Ivan nods. "I can try to do that. It may take some time, but I hear you have plenty of that."
  190. [22:31] <KamenWriter> <S'aright.>
  191. [22:33] <KamenWriter> <Anyway, I'm going back to my nap.>
  192. [22:33] <KamenWriter> <Nice talkin' with ya.>
  193. [22:33] <Elsa> <Goodbye.>
  194. [22:33] <Ivan> "Sorry to wake you." He waves as he turns to leave.
  195. [22:35] <KamenWriter> He curls up again and promptly falls asleep.
  196. [22:35] * castfromhp (castfromhp@sux-785131EB.hsd1.il.comcast.net) Quit ( Quit: Leaving )
  197. [22:36] <Elsa> <I will most likely go try to sleep as well, I want to see if I can get as much sleep as I want while this time is frozen.>
  198. [22:36] <Elsa> <Was there anything else?>
  199. [22:36] * Ivan shakes his head. "Not from me. Enjoy your sleep."
  200. [22:37] * Elsa goes to find Terrakion, talk with her mans, talk to Cait, and sleep, in an unspecified order
  201. [22:39] <KamenWriter> Cool
