  1. [6:15:04 PM] Cruz: I'm not vegan, not even vegetarian. Yet I have a rather alternative livestyle compared to others. I love life, I love my friends and, surprise, I love nature for an endless amount reasons. (AND I love travelling, I'm a very curious person. And actually the reason why I'm certain that humans can still surprise you.) I try to avoid plastics as much as possible, yet letting go of devices to communicate is impossible as of now. Most (not all) of the stuff I buy I get from a store where you bring your own jars, bottles and vessels. The rest I don't buy there, is because I'm not earning enough atm. IF I buy meat (which is very rare) and eggs, it's from suppliers near the city that agreed to not do factory farming and anything else that's incredibly cruel. I'm lactose intolerant so most dairy producs are off limits anyway.
  2. [6:15:15 PM] frozen (FrozenStarlight): i’m not bothered by images .-. but real spiders...
  3. [6:15:18 PM] FeatherAsh: hello long cruz speech
  4. [6:15:24 PM] Cruz: 8(
  5. [6:15:29 PM] FeatherAsh: o.o cruz
  6. [6:15:41 PM | Edited 6:15:44 PM] Cruz: I felt like rambling
  7. [6:15:48 PM] FeatherAsh: copy and paste that whenever someone asks you about yourself
  8. [6:15:58 PM] Sandara: Ah, well devices don't really have anything to do with veganism, it's about leaving the torture and pain of other creatures off your plate :3
  9. [6:15:59 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): for those of you without arachnophobia/who like spiders there's a really cool game coming out sometime this year hopefully called spider rise of the [something] moon
  10. [6:16:03 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): puzzleessssss
  11. [6:16:07 PM | Edited 6:16:18 PM] frozen (FrozenStarlight): once upon a time a black widow nested in the space between our sliding glass door in the back of the house. we had to call an exterminator
  12. [6:16:09 PM] Cruz: Err... I know.
  13. [6:16:24 PM] Sandara: Veganism is the movement that animals are not objects to use or own.
  14. [6:16:25 PM] Cruz: I am fully aware of there being no connection. Plastic is bad for other reasons.
  15. [6:16:51 PM] Andrea: I wish I could do that Cruz but there are no stores like that in Sweden
  16. [6:17:07 PM] Cruz: I hate that humans are being exploited as well
  17. [6:17:24 PM] Sandara: Dude, I shop at walmart XD I find it odd that people think veganism is eating special products and stuff, when really, it's reading labels.
  18. [6:17:30 PM] Andrea: Howeve since I kinda live in a small town on the "countryside" I can get eggs from local farmers which is great
  19. [6:18:17 PM] Andrea: And the local superstore takes in meat from a farm just outside the town which is awesome. That meat is so yummy, much better than factory stuff
  20. [6:18:23 PM] Sandara: Also, factory farming or not, it's still harmful to the animal because they die in the end and are used for human consumpution, as I said, veganism is the movement that animals are not here for us to use.
  21. [6:18:52 PM] Cruz: Yeah, I also know that I can live vegan without ONLY looking in certain shelves that are labelled vegan.
  22. [6:18:55 PM] Sandara: [6:17 PM] Cruz:
  23.
  24. <<< I hate that humans are being exploited as wellAye me too, veganism is about non use for all <3
  25. [6:19:01 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): reality is harmful to animals tbh
  26. [6:19:18 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): i love nature but nature is a cruel asshole
  27. [6:19:24 PM] Sandara: Reality? No, human conditioning is.
  28. [6:19:30 PM] FeatherAsh: im a pescitarian, i think? i eat fish and seafood and stuff but not meat
  29. [6:19:39 PM] Sandara: [6:19 PM] Cruz:
  30.
  31. <<< Yeah, I also know that I can live vegan without ONLY looking in certain shelves that are labelled vegan.Aye! It's strange that a lot of people don't realize this XD
  32. [6:20:03 PM] Sandara: Like all it takes is reading labels really
  33. [6:20:09 PM] Sandara: Like I don't understand why people don't realize this XD
  34. [6:20:20 PM] Sandara: My tomato soup I get? Accidently vegan for 69 cents at walmart XD
  35. [6:21:12 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): except...the only way to be morally vegan is to cut yourself off from modern conveniences. medicine, gelatin, a TON of plastics....
  36. [6:21:19 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): because all of those things utilize animals at some point
  37. [6:21:21 PM] Sandara: Nope XD
  38. [6:21:45 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): veganism/vegatarianism can also encourage deforestation because of the space needed to plant a crop
  39. [6:22:00 PM] Sandara: Being Vegan is about doing the least amount of harm, I mean eating vegetables kills animals indirectily, everything you do has impact, but it's about making the LEAST amount of harm you possibley can
  40. [6:22:17 PM] Sandara: veganism/vegatarianism can also encourage deforestation because of the space needed to plant a cropActually, it takes less land to grow crop then it does to grow animals
  41. [6:22:31 PM] WickedHorror: But how do we go about controlling the populations of cows and chickens without causing waste then? We can't just leave them to their own devices, they would die of starvation. We can't kill them all, that would be cruel. So what do we do with them?
  42. [6:23:00 PM] Andrea: TBH yes it is because Plastic and commercial devices are harmful to animals and nature as a whole. Not considering commercial devices or other stuff as dangerous is closer to vegetarianism than veganism.
  43. [6:23:31 PM] Sandara: [6:22 PM] WickedHorror:
  44.
  45. <<< But how do we go about controlling the populations of cows and chickens without causing waste then?Supply and demand, we stop demmanding them, they stop breeding, and yes if we stop consoming them, we will stop killing the supplies that's left, however, the sluppy that is left are all super sick animals anyway so they'll probably not even going to make it, however this way, we save future generations for enduring the torture and pain that the former have gone through, plus, farm scantuarys do exist.
  46. [6:24:11 PM] Sandara: TBH yes it is because Plastic and commercial devices are harmful to animals and nature as a whole. Not considering commercial devices or other stuff as dangerous is closer to vegetarianism than veganism.Yes but that's why technologies are developing bio degradable stuff to minimize harm.
  47. [6:24:29 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): i'm going to actually step away from this conversation because i personally only see dietary vegatarian/veganism as logical and anything else goes against human biology and if i try to contribute further i'm going to get pissed
  48. [6:24:30 PM] Sandara: It's very easy to make things out of what has already been made to minimize damage.
  49. [6:24:55 PM] Sandara: Figures. I can't go anywhere without vegan hate can I? :/
  50. [6:26:07 PM] Sandara: It's fine, I won't mention it again.
  51. [6:26:10 PM] Andrea: This isn't about vegan hate at all
  52. [6:26:36 PM] TEMMIE (aka lizziecat1279): i'm being honest and saying it out loud so that i stick to it. i think veganism is ridiculous and so to avoid vegan hate i'm going to do other things
  53. [6:26:45 PM] Sandara: Whenever I bring the topic up, -someone- gets upset basicly
  54. [6:26:55 PM] Sandara: ....
  55. [6:27:05 PM] frozen (FrozenStarlight): wow this escalated quickly o-o’ i personally don’t mind what dietary choices other people have at all, and i kinda admire vegans/vegatarians/etc for being so committed.
  56. [6:27:06 PM] Andrea: Its rather about the fact that there are several reasons to why people make different choices when it comes to diet, intake and decisions in life. However there is no reason to disregard any persons beliefs and/or ways of living.
  57. [6:27:07 PM] Sandara: I think I'm going to leave the chat
  58. [6:27:32 PM] The Mutant: that'd be a shame, Sandara ;/
  59. [6:28:04 PM] The Mutant: (also asking for real here- is there any degree of disagreeing with vegan views that's okay before it becomes 'hate'?)
  60. [6:28:09 PM] Sandara: [6:27 PM] frozen (FrozenStarlight):
  61.
  62. <<< i personally don’t mind what dietary choices other people have at allChoices shouldn't hurt other beings, but frankly, i never judged a single person here.
  63.
  64. If someone is here that thinks that movement is rediculous, and everything I stand for, I can't stay here.
  65. [6:28:18 PM] WickedHorror: Yes Mutant, imo.
  66. [6:28:24 PM] Andrea: I see no reason for you to leave the chat. You believe in what you believe in, and other believe in what they believe in :)
  67. [6:28:41 PM] The Mutant: yeah, no one's gonna try and make you change your mind, Sandara :>
  68. [6:28:54 PM] Sandara: [6:28 PM] The Mutant:
  69.
  70. <<< (also asking for real here- is there any degree of disagreeing with vegan views that's okay before it becomes 'hate'?)Please excuse me.
  71. I'm used to getting rude things sent my way so i'm extremely senstive about it
  72. [6:29:08 PM] Sandara: Slightest sign of someone getting upset at my belief system
  73. [6:29:10 PM] Sandara: i shove off
