[19:59]   Sartoth: As such... I gave a small overhaul to the madness system as of recent, which should help call for it a little more consistently and smoothly. But now that the clock striketh 8... Allow me to open the next session by quoting Alrek's last statement last we left off.
[20:00]   Sartoth: Alrek: "I don't challenge you to play your game!" he snaps, "I was sent here by our father to gain humility...to gain empathy for the other races...and I found comrades, acceptance, even love. And I found the depths of depravity, of hypocrisy, and hatred. All couched in the soothing refrain of religion...the promise of a better tomorrow. We're not your pawns to do with as you please. On your guard!"
[20:00]   Alrek Edward Rach: Viva la resistance! Viva les oiseaus!
[20:01]   Shirr Gixic: Cue epic boss battle music such as One Winged Angel and go! XD
[20:01]   Sartoth: Kalfyra, as she is held at sword point (Which is not saying much at first glance give her enormity) the dragoness was actually quite sympathetic. "Yes... It is entirely possible for religions to be corrupted for ill... I know first hand..." She said... Almost mournfully. Then when asked to be on her guard, she instead comtinues to lay there and says,
"Thank you... But I'm good."
Contrary to Shirr's Player's call, she actually does not do this. Instead... She points to a nearby stump. "By the way, what's with that whelpling following you?"
[20:02]   Sartoth: Thurirl ducked his head behind said treestump. "Grah. Busted..."
[20:03]   Shirr Gixic now has to listen to that... did it to himself.  At her question he gave a shrug.  "The others know more about him than I.  I joined them afterwards."
[20:05]   Tappri Whiteclaw blinks as the dragoness takes a very lax position to their challenge.. looking to Thurirl, "Oh, um, this is a copper dragon we rescued from dark dragon breeding ground before it was corrupted.."
[20:07]   Alrek Edward Rach: "..do you decline then?" he asks, a hint of confusion cropping into his voice as he points his rapier
[20:09]   Sartoth: "Oh, no... I did extend the challenge. Excuse me for a moment." She gets up and suddenly begins to saunter on over behind the tree stump! Her strength quaking the earth as any ancient dragon would! A little less, due to her social tact.
hey little guy... She went.
Thurirl's head's lowered for a moment...
And after a few exchanges, she escorts him out to the open, tiny forearm in giant dragon paw.
"Hmmn. Actually, quick thing before we begin..."
[20:10]   Sartoth: "So I presume he is an orphan then, hmm?"
[20:10]   Zagnox looks, curious.
[20:10]   Alrek Edward Rach: "...yes and no."
[20:10]   Alrek Edward Rach: "I don't know where his birth parents are, but I like to think that he still has a family."
[20:11]   Sartoth: Kalfyra gave a knowing smile.
"Indeed..." That smile only getting more sublime as her backing facial features helped animate it. "And I know of a diviner in your world who can find them."
[20:11]   Alrek Edward Rach: "I meant us. We're his family."
[20:12]   Sartoth: Thurirl's eyes slitted. Then standing up on his hind legs. "Wait what?"
"This little guy's actual parents I mean." She canted her cheek and raised her eyeridges inquisitively. "Surely you'd not want to keep the youngling from them...."
[20:15]   Tappri Whiteclaw blinks and approaches, shaking his head, "If his parents are still out there, then I would certainly want them to find each other again..!"
[20:15]   Shirr Gixic stretches a little bit as he gave a soft snort listening to it all, plopping his butt down on the ground to wait.  He didn't seem to be much for business about families.
[20:16]   Alrek Edward Rach: "It's his choice to make, but I'd certainly not stand in his way. I more meant that if he finds his birth parents or not, he's not an orphan...certainly not in my eyes." He says with some emotion.
[20:18]   Sartoth: Kalfyra gave a dignified nod. "I leave this prospect up to you all. If you have grown attached to Thurirl, I blame you not for your evasion on the subject." Kalfyra gave a formal nod. "Be it adoption or in the literal sense, perhaps he is orphan no longer. I leave that task up to you... For I wish not to infringe upon what you have."
She began to sloooowly lower herself down to a sitting position again.
"He is a dragon after all... And will grow to become as majestic and mighty as any. it won't be long before he defies all authority. I would know." The dragoness gave a warm noblewoman's laugh at that.
"Well... I suppose we should get started then. Thurirl, would you be so kind as to clear the way back to cover and allow me to assess your companions?"
