  7. While it was certainly nice of the mansion's owner to invite you into his house to hunt for ghosts, you really can't say tonight is enjoyable so far. Not only have you not found anything, but your ghost-hunting equipment keeps picking up frequencies from others' conversations. Two old men reminiscing about the war… A commercial for used cars… Police report of an escaped serial killer nearby…

  13. If the Vault tile is not in the house, search the room stack for it and put it in the basement. Then shuffle that stack.

  18. Notorious serial killer Crimson Jack has broken into the mansion and persuaded the owner's daughter to lead him around. She is an innocent child.

  23. … you lock up Crimson Jack in the Vault.

  27. How to Lock Up Crimson Jack
  28. Someone must open the Vault before you can lock Crimson Jack in it. Once the Vault is open, you can lock up Jack by beating him with a Might attack in the Vault while he is not holding his Axe.

  30. If there is only one hero left alive, you may make a Might 5+ roll if Jack's Axe is dropped in the Vault tile to throw it into the Vault. Jack will be locked up immediately when he goes after it.

  32. If you are in the same room as the Girl during your turn, you may carry her with you as you move (You do not get the Sanity and Knowledge bonus as if you had the Girl Omen card from this). The Girl does not slow heroes, and heroes do not slow the Girl.

  36. If You Win …
  37. You scoop the little girl up in your arms and make a mad dash for the doors of the mansion, not wanting to take any risks with a dangerous psychopath behind you. You find a phone in a nearby diner and call the police to alert them about Jack, and within hours you're told that he is back in custody.
  38. The mansion's owner is found safe and sound, tied up in a closet on the upper floor. Apparently, his daughter told Jack not to play with her daddy. He's so relieved to see his daughter safe again that he offers you quite a generous reward. Overall, tonight was an enjoyable night.
