	Go upstairs
		Grab Potion from PC
		Set the clock

	Go to the house next door.
		Go upstairs
		Talk to May

	Leave house and proceed to route 101

	Pick mudkip as starter (one on the right)

	Fight the Poochyena!
		During the fight check for the desired stats

	Give the Mudkip a one character nickname

	Go North to route 103

	Battle May!
		Use tackle on the Treeko

	Head back south to the lab

	Get running shoes from mom

	Head north again to Oldale town

	Then West to route 102

	Battle Youngster Calvin! (the young boy with the blue cap)
		Use Mud-Slap once then Tackle on the Zigzagoon

	Avoid all other trainers on the route

	Pick up the Oran Berries (Orange plant)
		(Don't give one to Mudkip yet because that would be extra menuing)

	Head West to Petalburg City

	Enter the PokéMart
		Sell:
			5 Pokéballs

		Buy:
			2 Potions
			5 Repels
			1 X Speed
			2 X Attack

	Enter Petalburg Gym
		Talk to the Gym Leader

	Head West to route 104

	Head north through grass and pick up the Oran Berries

	Give Oran Berry to Mudkip and Repel before next grass

	Enter Petalburg Woods

	Battle Bug Catcher Lyle! (The Spinner to the left)
		Use 2 X Attacks
		Use Tackle on all six Wurmples

	Battle the Team Aqua Grunt!
		Use Mud-slap once then Tackle to kill the Poochyena

	Battle Bug Catcher James! (Spinner after Aqua Grunt)
		Use Water Gun on the Nincada

	Head North back onto route 104

	Pick up the Oran Berries
		(If not already holding one, don't give one to Mudkip until just before Roxanne)

	Battle Lady Cindy! (Spinner with green dress)
		Use Water Gun on the ZigZagoon

	Avoid all other trainers and Head North to Rustboro City

	Enter the Rustboro Gym

	Battle Youngster Josh!
		Use Water Gun on all three Geodudes

	Battle Youngster Tommy!
		Use Water Gun on the Geodude

	Heal if HP is below half

	Give Oran Berry if not holding one

	Battle Leader Roxanne!
		Use Water Gun on the Geodude and Nosepass
			(Heal if HP gets low)

SPLIT

	Exit the Rustboro Gym

	Head North-East towards route 116

	Take the higher route

	Before grass teach Mudkip Rock Tomb over Growl, and use a Repel

	Go under the First Trainer who only looks up and right

	Avoid the Spinner

		Lass Janice
			Use Rock Tomb on Marill

	Battle Hiker Clark!
		Use Water Gun on all three Geodudes

	Enter Rusturf Cave

	Battle the Team Aqua Grunt!
		Use Water Gun on Poochyena

	Evolve (Theoretically)
		Teach Mud Shot over Mud Slap

SPLIT

	Head back to Rustboro City
		(Use a repel when the old one goes out)

	Dodge The Spinner again

	Talk to the Devoncorp employee

	Leave the building

	Go to the Pokémart
		Buy:
			1 X Speed
			As Many X Attack as possible (8 Maximum)
			Repels if have any spare money

	Head south through Petalburg Woods to Mr Briney's house

	Talk to Mr Briney

	Head North towards Granite Cave avoiding trainers

	Pick up the hidden Stardust (in rock diagonal to the second trainer)

	Enter Granite Cave

	Use Repel
		Continually Refresh Repels for duration of Granite Cave

	Head Left

	Pick up Escape Rope

	Go down Ladder

	Navigate the first floor
		Up 2, Left 1, Up 5, Right 3, Up 2, Right 14, Down 4, Right 4, Down 5, Right 4.

	Navigate the second floor
		Up 3, Left 20, Down 2, left 4, Up 5, Right 17, Up 2, Right 8.

	Walk left to the other ladder

	Walk left and enter the other cavern

	Talk to Steven

	Use the Escape Rope

	Talk to Mr Briney, Head to Slateport City

	Avoid all trainers on the beach

	Enter the brown building with a grey roof

	Talk to Dock (Balding man beside the table)

	Go North to the Museum

	Talk to scientist on second floor

	Battle the Team Aqua Grunt!
		Sapphire Version:
			Use Mud Shot on the Carvanha
		Ruby Version:
			Use Water Gun on the Numel

	Battle the second Team Aqua Grunt!
		Sapphire Version:
			Use Rock Tomb on the Zubat
			Use Mud Shot on the Carvanha
		Ruby Version:
			Use Rock Tomb on the Zubat
			Use Water Gun on the Numel

	Talk to the Team Aqua Grunt on the first floor and get TM 46 (Theif)

	Go to the Pokémart
		Sell:
			1 Stardust
			1 TM 46 (Theif)
			1 TM 47 (Steel Wing)

		Buy:
			2 Repels (If bought extra at previous mart, can subtract that amount from this)
			As many Super Potions as possible


	Head North to route 110

	Avoid all the trainers

	Use a Super Potion and a Repel before entering the Grassy area

	Battle May! (Hardest Fight in any game ever)
		(On the Wailmer, heal at any point if HP below 40)
		Use X Speed on first turn
		Use 2 X attacks (3 if your attack was 13 at lvl 5) using a X attack every time Wailmer uses growl
		When you are at +2 Attack (+3 if attack was 13 at lvl 5) Use Mud Shot on Wailmer
		Use Rock Tomb on Grovyle (If Grovyle's absorb puts you on 8 HP or lower Super Potion Next Turn)
		Use Water Gun on Numel

SPLIT

	Avoid all Trainers and head North to Mauville city

	Enter Pokémart (Skip if you have 3+ X Attacks and 2+ Super Potions)
		Buy:
			3 X Attacks
			2 Super Potions

	Get Rock Smash from the house to the far right

	Enter bicycle shop

	Get Mach Bike

	Register Mach Bike

	Get on Mach Bike

	Battle Wally! (In front of gym)
		Use Mud Shot on Ralts

	Enter Mauville Gym

	Press the first switch (straight up from you)

	Battle Battle Girl Vivian!
		Use X Attack
		Use Mud Shot on Meditite then Water Gun (Mud shot if you had 14 Attack at lvl 5)

	Press the second switch (right of the Battle Girl)

	Battle Guitarist Shawn!
		Use Mud Shot on all three Voltorbs

	Press the Third Switch (to the left of the Guitarist)

	Battle Leader Watson!
		(Heal at any point if HP below 40)
		Use X Speed
		(Use an X Attack if your attack was 13 at lvl 5)
		Use Mud Shot on Magnemite
		Use Mud Shot on Voltorb
		Use Mud Shot on Magneton

SPLIT

	Exit the Mauville Gym

	Hop on Bike

	Head North to route 111

	Teach Marshtomp Rock Smash Over Tackle

	Smash the Rocks

	Avoid all 4 spinners (If worried about them, hop off bike when approaching them)

	Use Repel before the grass just after the 2nd spinner

	Enter Fiery Path

	Head North and exit Fiery Path

	Avoid the spinner

	Battle CoolTrainer Brooke!
		Use X Attack (Another if Wingull Growls)
		Use Rock Throw on Wingull
		Use Mod Shot on Roselia
		Use Water Gun on Numel

	Head West to route 113

	Catch a Spinda!
		(Rock Tomb won't OHKO, neither will Rock Smash)

	Go to Save but don't actually Save, just record the time it gives.
