For Emmalynn Clifford, the worst thing about love is distance.

Three years of rehabilitation, and Emma returns home to her life as she knew it. That is until she realizes many things have changed. As she adjusts to her new neighbors and schedule, she struggles to come to grips with her new reality. A good distraction is her brother's new band--and more particularly, the drummer, Ashton.

However, there's one problem: he's taken. Soon, that all changes and Ashton and Emma couldn't be closer. But just when she thinks things couldn't be more perfect, she's reminded of her parent's choice for her elite education, which involves a trip across the world.
