P Punkt Alex: The next thing I saw was a blank ceiling as I laid in my bed, sweat all over my body, as I couldn't stop breathing frantically. Out of panic, my hands grabbed the blanket and didn't let go as my mind calmed and my breathing rhythm slowed down slowly, but steadily. Finally, I regained the control over my head and looked all over the place, and I noticed that I was in a small room with very little interior.

"Just a dream", I muttered to myself, trying to convince me that, indeed, nothing that happened back there didn't actually happen. But it was too real to deny that this was the case. For a while, I was just laying on the bed, slowly watching as light got through the window and made the room slightly more inviting. It didn't take too long until somebody knocked on the door.

„Yes?“, I said quietly as the door opened and Anthoir was peeking inside.

„Oh, so it was you“, Anthoir said, entering the room. „Are you feeling better now?“

„Not really“, I said. „I'm not even sure if I'm really alive right now.“

„You definitely are“, he replied while approaching the bed. „But you'd probably be dead if we came just a moment later. It took me quite a bit of convincing to get you out, and then I had to force a mender to fix you up a bit.“

He then paused for a moment and asked: „What drove you to just run back into the colony? Did you have a death wish of any kind?“

„It's not that“, I answered. „But... they're thinking I'm trying to sabotage our mission. Who knows what they're going to do with me if I go back.“

„It won't be easy to get them to think you're on our side, either. But now, you should worry about taking a bath and having breakfast, don't you think?“

„Mmmh, something to eat would actually be pretty nice right now... but, where's my armour?“

„It was so badly damaged that we had to get rid of it. We got something ready for you, though, so you don't have to walk around like nature itself wanted you to.“

„Uhm, thanks.“

P Punkt Alex: Shortly afterwards, I was sitting in warm, soapy water as I started to scrap the remaining dirt off my body, feeling comfortable. A smile showed up on my face as I, relaxed, glided more into the water as I heard somebody knock on the door.

"Yes?", I asked.

"It's me, Alla. I put some clothes in front of the door. Just so you know."

"Oh." I blushed a little. "Thank you."

"Not a big deal", she replied cheerily as I heard her walk off again.

Being done with the bath, I stepped outside of the bathtub and went to the door, opening it and picked up a hoodie and some pants with them, before closing the door and putting them on. It only took seconds before the itching began as I had the desire to scratch myself everywhere on my body.

Again, it knocked on the door as Alla asked. „It's me again. Did you put them on yet?“

„Y-yeah“, I replied, still busy trying to suppress the itchiness.

She then opened the door only to react shocked about what she saw. „What's going on?“

„I don't know, but it feels really off.“

„Maybe it's because those belong to Anthoir“, she pondered. „At least they're fitting perfectly on you.“

I then followed her out of the bathroom and down the stairs to the entrance room where I've already been when I first came here. Anthoir and Joseff were busy preparing the table placed besides the window as the latter saw me coming down and seemed to feel a lot better from one moment to the next.

„Good morning, Ray!“, he said.

„Morning, Joseff“, I greeted him back.

„You can sit down. Me and Alla will bringing everything here.“

As he left for the kitchen, me and Joseff sat down by the table.

„You should have told us you're coming to visit us again“, he told me.

„I wish I could have, but do you remember the jerk?“

„Of course I do!“

„Well, he-“

„It's barely there anymore. Why do you ask?“

„I thought you can't consume jelly or your stomach screws up.“

„Yeah, but that was raw groolit. This here is grool“; Anthoir told me.

„And where's the difference?“

„Grool is processed in a special way that makes it easier to digest it. And it's just as healthy.“

„Mmmh, interesting... give me the can when you're done with it, please. I gotta try this out.“

Axon Griegor: it feels like Ray knows what's a groolit

Axon Griegor: i think you should fix that in the third issue

I picked up two pieces and put them on my dish, following up with filling my cup with grool. „Still feels a bit odd to eat meat this early“, I thought.

P Punkt Alex: well, they kind of already decided who eats what, and they made smaller extra portions for Ray so he can try stuff out

„And what choices do I have?“

„Only one, really“, he added. „You'd have to join our military service.“

„I don't know if that's a good idea“, I said.

„You should at least give it a try“, Alla said. „You also get to see some areas of Cradle that knights haven't found as of yet.“

„And what better proof for you being on our side is there than you fighting for us?“, Anthoir asked me.

„I still feel a bit iffy about this...“

„It's understandable, but what else do you want to do? Not to mention that we'll have problems feeding four people with only two people working.“

„Hello“, I quietly said and reached out my hand to shake hers, which she then did with such force that it was a wonder my arm didn't turn into jelly.

„Really nice to meet you!“

„He'll be working with us from tomorrow onward“, Kat explained. „I hope you two can go along.“

„Oh, really? Man, this'll be so exciting“, Tayla shrieked before grabbing Kat's arm. „Come, the rest is getting impatient!“

„Well, I hope you can go on without me now! See ya!“ And Tayla pulled her away from me as they started chatting. Looking up into the sky, it was apparent that it was still a long time until lunch, and the thing with the hunting sounded pretty interesting.

„Oh, um, thank you“, I said, before leaning over to Katherine and asking: „Is that a friend of yours?“

„Eeeyup“, Katherine answered. „This is Tayla.“

„Hello“, I quietly said and reached out my hand to shake hers, which she then did with such force that it was a wonder my arm didn't turn into jelly.

„Really nice to meet you!“

„He'll be working with us from tomorrow onward“, Kat explained. „I hope you two can go along.“

„Oh, really? Man, this'll be so exciting“, Tayla shrieked before grabbing Kat's arm. „Come, the rest is getting impatient!“

„Well, I hope you can go on without me now! See ya!“ And Tayla pulled her away from me as they started chatting. Looking up into the sky, it was apparent that it was still a long time until lunch, and the thing with the hunting sounded pretty interesting.
