Character Name: Roxas

Anime/Manga/Game/OC: Kingdom Hearts  

Personality Traits: On the surface, Roxas is quiet and generally unhappy, never smiling unless he has something to smile about. It's easy to make him sad or upset, but making him angry is actually rather difficult -- only a few specific things can accomplish that. He's very introverted and doesn't like to talk much, unless he's with Axel or Xion or, more recently, Sora. As few friends as he has, he's strongly attached to each one and cares more for them than someone without a heart should be able to, which has led him to wonder on multiple occasions whether or not he really doesn't have one. His personal sense of morals is very strong, and although he usually doesn't like to go against any authority, he will do so if it means following his own moral compass.

Character Background: Born into a state of soulless apathy, Roxas was alive for little more a year, with absolutely no recollection of who or what he was before he became a Nobody. He was taken into Organization XIII almost immediately after he came into existence, but for the first week or so, he acted very much like an empty shell. Another member of the Organization, Axel, was assigned to look after Roxas, and by the time he'd developed a sense of self, the two of them had already begun a close friendship.

Later, another new member was brought in, and her condition was identical to the way Roxas had been when he'd first arrived -- and, just like Roxas, she seemed to come back to herself after a few days. After that, she became friends with Roxas and Axel, but the three of them were soon torn apart by the Organization's darker motives. After being told hundreds of times that he was never supposed to exist and that Sora needed his part of his heart back, Roxas left the Organization after a violent clash, only to end up forced into a simulated Twilight Town where he lived the last seven days of his life under the impression that he was just a normal boy spending the end of summer vacation with his friends.

Why you are choosing this character: I adore Roxas and, like Lelouch, he's one of my most favorite characters to roleplay. I didn't really get the chance to write any decent threads with him last time, so I'm hoping that might change this time.
