  4. In all seriousness, I would go for an epiphone les paul for the solid sound and great overall feel.

  17. Alright, LTD is okay. Sure, they got some good stuff, but one of the biggest factors is this: what fucking genre are you going to be playing?

  26. Also how long have you been playing? ESP's have the thin, unpainted necks where epiphones are painted and I feel "slower" for a new player that can't compensate

  32. Not a bad guitar for the money. Stick some nicer pickups in there. Take care of it. Should be good times.

  55. Honestly, I'd say go for an Ibanez or a mid/low range schecter. I'll get back to you in a bit with models, but both clean up pretty well but will still give a good crunch when you want it

  65. Well, as a player of 19 years, I've always loved ibanez guitars. I've owned Gibson, LTD, Dean, Jackson, Washburn, etc. Always came back to my RG's answer S bodies. They are versatile guitars and pretty fairly priced. I would get an RG in the $400 range or save a little more for the entry level S bodies. So comfortable to hold and play.

  71. I'd say either an Ibanez s521 or a schecter c-6 plus
  72. Both look really solid but well priced. One thing though: Floyd Rose or nah.

  77. I love having a Floyd rose, but only ever used it in covers. Schecters are great guitars too, I used to have a couple of their 7 strings. Anyways, if you intend on using vibrato or dive bombs Floyd's are great. If not, bother with them. They can be a pain in the dick

  87. I would recommend getting somewhere to test out an S body first, they are so light and sit so well when you hold them. Very, very comfortable guitars.

  111. Don't get me wrong, the double locks are fucking great. But you better be dead fuckin set on your tuning if you get a Floyd setup. That tinkering and shit is the reason why we would rather spend another $6-700 on an additional guitar for
