  1. Dear androiddev15,
  2. The mobile application Gun Sounds
  3. (http://slideme.org/application/gun-sounds-4) has been forbidden on SlideME
  4. (http://slideme.org/) due to following reason:
  5. *INADEQUATE CONTENT OR FUNCTIONALITY: SlideME may deny any application
  6. anytime if it considers an application(s) as lacking in value, quality, or
  7. functionality, or with no functional purpose other than developer monetizing
  8. with Advertisements. Applications that simply link to or display a website, a
  9. single image, stream, video, or sound are no longer being accepted on
  10. SlideME. Applications with screenshots/Wallpapers of
  11. celebrities/'girls'/people, hearts, vehicles, or animals will be considered
  12. lacking in value and quality and such are at risk of being removed.
  13. Other simple applications we are no longer accepting include (but are not
  14. limited to) timer/alarm clocks/countdown, Trolls/Memes, farts/airhorns,
  15. simple or external links to news, simple calculators (real or abstract,
  16. relationship or zodiac), counters, jokes/quotes/SMS, anonymous SMS, SMB
  17. bombing, simple or low-quality prank apps, tap count games, application
  18. lockers, fifteen/slider puzzles, hangman, bubble/popping games, sound
  19. frequency, Flashlight, mirror, compass, memory/concentration, snake,
  20. tic-tac-toe, sudoku, lie detectors, RAM boosters, notepads/to-do lists, tech
  21. demos, or other learning/tutorial-derived applications. Due to the
  22. overwhelming volume of clones or similar submissions to viral or trending
  23. applications being submitted to our store through our free developer
  24. registration, we are not currently publishing or approving any more such
  25. application submissions like those at this time. SlideME is a curated store,
  26. which means our New Release feed is hand-selected for a variety of
  27. applications; and we do not flood it with similar or repetitive content in
  28. any automated fashion.
  29. *EXCESSIVE DESCRIPTIONS: Long descriptions that list every item or feature
  30. available in an application, use copy/pasted definitions such as from
  31. Wikipedia, repeat keywords/tags/names, translated languages that are already
  32. listed in the app's SlideME profile, duplicate translations to other
  33. languages, list version history, add excessive unnecessary flavor text, user
  34. reviews, review quotes, all caps, capitalizing each word, symbols or ASCII
  35. art, SEO abuse, or are simple in function but unnecessarily push the length
  36. within SlideME's SAM app are no longer permitted. Please update and shorten
  37. your descriptions so that they no longer contain these elements.
  38. *ANONYMOUS DEVELOPER PROFILE: Full Name required (e.g. First, Middle, &
  39. Last Name). To distribute applications via SlideME, you are required to
  40. identity yourself to SlideME staff with your actual full name as found on a
  41. government-issued photo ID. This is the person's name that is responsible for
  42. the application(s) being submitted. This is not a company name or your
  43. username. Set the company name in the Organization field. Failure to provide
  44. such information indicates you confirm your application is junk or malware
  45. and you do not wish to be held accountable, and that we should in turn close
  46. your account unless you provide a photo ID with the exact name you typed into
  47. the "Full Name" field.
  48. *SIMPLY AD MONETIZING: Applications with advertisements must provide genuine,
  49. meaningful, and original content other than for the sole purpose of
  50. displaying advertisements. This is not due to the type of advertising used,
  51. but rather due to the functionality of your application being too simplistic,
  52. inadequate, or containing more advertising than actual created content.
  53. According to SlideME Content Guidelines, this application is not the type
  54. that we will accept for our catalog in its current state of functionality.
  55. *SUSPICIOUS OR GENERIC PACKAGE NAME: Per the Android Open Source Project and
  56. the SlideME developer agreement, your application should have an appropriate
  57. and unique package name (not to be confused with the uploaded .apk file
  58. name), as set in the Application Manifest (.xml). Package names that are too
  59. short, not unique, unchanged from tutorial examples, generic, use
  60. unauthorized trademarks, or are suspicious will result in the application
  61. being denied. Package names must follow standard Android and Java practices
  62. for packageName nomenclature or those deemed acceptable by SlideME, i.e.
  63. companydomain.apptitle or companyname.apptitle or
  64. developer/authorname.apptitle. Package names should never use domains or
  65. trademarks owned by other legal entities (such as com.google) and should also
  66. never use the com.example namespace when published. This helps to avoid
  67. conflicts as multiple apps cannot share the same packageName, it indicates
  68. ownership of the application to your account, and it indicates that this
  69. application was not built using tutorials/example source code or web app
  70. builders.
  71. You may want to check our terms & conditions as per Application Upload Form.
