Acti’s collarbone was already damaged significantly. A kick to the opposite collarbone was enough to disable his shoulders. I stepped around his body. It was incapable of standing properly or quickly enough, and immediately pulled out my swords. I stepped back and swung forward with either sword to decapitate him.

My eye observed a twitch. Acti was moving to intercept the swords. And he was doing it with… with his mouth?! Acti’s jaws clenched down and held my swords firmly. He was grinning. The muscles relative to his good eye were flexing to suggest pleasure – he found it funny that he had just outsmarted my eye. “Caught i–” I didn’t let him finish. If Acti clenched his teeth, my swords would break.
