Also we do not mean actually 'infinite', but there is no limit on the height.

This will work with Screenshot gifs.

UPDATE - Uploading made easier
Tithen-Firion has scripted together multiple bookmarklets to upload to showcases with gifs and infinite without even heading to the artwork upload page.

Here is the guide explaining how to use them:

This whole guide will still work but is more complex then the new guide.

Simply click the button on the top right.


Disclaimers
Any artwork you upload with this method will now stretch until the width is equal to the size of the showcase. Which means we recommend you do not upload gifs with a width of smaller than 506px for the center of the showcase.

This pretty much applies to no one, since all gifs are done at that resolution anyway, do not worry.

Open this link in chrome (other browsers will likely work if you have access to their console) and select your gif under 'Select your artwork file'.

When you can see your gif on the page; right click anywhere on the page & inspect element.

Click on the console on the top of the inspect element menu and enter this line:
document.getElementsByName("image_width")[0].value = 1000;document.getElementsByName("image_height")[0].value = 1;
Hit enter after pasting it

Now simply give it a title and a description, tick that "I certify that I created this artwork" box, then "Save and Continue".




You're done!
That's all there is to it. On the artwork's page expect nothing to appear.

But that is fine, your gif will work perfectly on your Artwork/Screenshot showcase!
