M1 security is a secretive paramilitary outfit whose sole motivation is cash. Its existence is known to the public only thanks to media speculation about rare M1-tagged
equipment recovered from the sites of certain high-profile attacks.

The firm operates via a series of semi-autonomous cells in a hierarchy, all led by the centralised team located somewhere in Djenne. They sell out labour to the highest
bidder, no matter how shady it is.

The contractors only ever meet one actual member of M1, an in-between, relaying orders and equipment from the executives to the contractors. This system guarantees absolute confidentiality
between the hiring and the hired because the hired have no idea who the hiring are.
