  1. In the beginning, there were two Titans, beings of supreme power who existed before everything. They represented opposing natures; peace and war, dark and light, mystical and martial. These two Titans were Elonai, Titan of Light and Azaeron, Titan of Darkness. These being of immense power clashed for eternity in the great void of nothingness, drawn to yet repulsed by each other by their extreme opposite natures. Their struggle was so furious that it only ended when the Titans destroyed each other, rending their physical bodies asunder and creating the physical universe.

  3. Stars, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and other heavenly bodies were formed from the resulting chaos, being born and destroyed almost within the same second. At the center of the universe was the skull of Elonai, which would spawn the first gods. First to rise was the God of Time, Jatus. He would form the skull of his father in to a great, shining city. Second god to rise was Odoth, God of Magic. He would harness the blood and spirit of his father, known as Radiance, to cast spells of great power. The next to rise from the light was Saerus, Goddess of Fire. She would ascend the Starlight Throne, becoming Queen of the Gods and ruler of the Shining Heavens. The other gods, and they numbered in the hundreds, would create their own parts of the Ivory City, each dedicated to their domain of power. The Halls of Heroes, the domain of Paros, God of Valor; the Albino Grove, domain of Ulvita, Goddess of the Wilds; the Eternal Library, domain of Odoth; and so on.

  5. At the bottom of the universe, in the darkest depths of the celestial void, the ribcage of Azaeron would form the Burning Pits. When the dark gods arose, Abbadon was first among them. Abbadon was the God of Destruction, and forged a great, burning sword he would call Lightsbane. The next to rise from the pits of brimstone and swirling darkness was Asherath, the Dark God of Fire and the first dragon. He was immense, his wings able to shroud whole words in his shadow, with hellfire breath that could burn nebulae to ash. The third to rise from ash and darkness was Mageroth, the God of Dark Magic. The counterpart of Odoth, Mageroth tapped in to the power of his father, calling it Umbrance. The dark gods would build grand castles of incomprehensible size and vastness to mark their own greatness. The most powerful of the Dark Gods, however, would rise last. Born of lava and hatred, Khaine the Dark God of Wrath would rise, but his brothers all at once, and build the grandest palace in all of the Burning Pits. Other dark gods would arise, and they would all bow before the might of Khaine.

  7. The gods of Dark and Light would become aware of each other and war, as their predecessors did before them. A war that would spread across all of creation. However, history would repeat, and they would be locked in stalemate for innumerable centuries. Vulthos, God of Artifice and the younger brother of Saerus, would see a need to bolster their ranks if they were to ever win against the Dark Gods. So he toiled in his forge within the Pillars of Creation, creating beings of starlight that would serve the gods of the Shining Heavens. And so it was that the angels were born. They were pure Radiance given form, a deadly weapon against their dark brothers.

  9. With the angels on their side, the Gods of Light pushed the Gods of Dark back to their pits, in to their keeps. Andras, Dark God of Corruption, would be charged by Abaddon to create something to combat the angels. Andras would capture and torture angels, experimenting on them relentlessly, transforming them in to horrible monsters in the image of the Dark Gods. Andras would call them 'demons', the Celestial word for 'slave'. Passing the information to his brothers and sisters of how to create demons, the Dark gods would raise legions of their own to battle their counterparts once again, the battle without end grinding to a stalemate once again.
  10.
  11. To end the chaos of this eternal war, three great beings known as the Triarchs appeared in between the vast armies of Heaven and Hell. They summoned the two families of gods and attempted to broker peace, telling them that their war would rip the very universe apart. The Treaty of Vigrid would be signed, and the Eternal War would end.
  12.
  13. The world of Telurra was created as a symbol of the treaty and the peace created by the Triarchs. This place would be the where good and evil would do battle, at least not in the way they did before.
