- ===Notes===========
- -Associated video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfWaezHnzao
- -This route does not use the Summon glitch - it is inconsistent and difficult.
- -The SG currently saves a couple of minutes theoretically, if one could finish a run with it.
- -Physical Shield is really loud. Here's a mod to remove its sound: http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=70295&
- ===Movement========
- -Rolling everywhere is marginally faster at 0 Speed and much faster at high Speed.
- -Canceling rolls is pretty much mandatory: begin your next roll before your current one ends.
- -If you block, you're late. If you stand up, you're later.
- -Rush rolling is faster than rolling. At high speed, you can roll twice (given a good cancel) between Rushes.
- -Berserk increases your Speed and so Berserk rush rolling is pretty much the pinnacle of movement
- -Backdashing is a bad thing; get a feel for when you are likely targeting something to the side or behind you, and roll instead of Rush.
- -This is probably the hardest part of movement and because of enemy RNG is always different.
- -Ignore enemies that are not specifically mandatory
- -When enemies are spawning around you, you can slow time to help prevent backdashes.
- -Force Push helps prevent backdashes.
- -When you save and load, or teleport and recall, you appear at the closest level exit to your previous location.
- -You cannot rush on certain bridges.
- ===Menus===========
- -WASD move you through menus. Right clicking moves you back a menu.
- -If there's a series of menu options in the same spot, hover your mouse over that spot and mash D.
- -F4: Items, F5: weapons, F6: Magic, F10 Personality (for seeing your IGT after credits)
- ===Childhood=======
- -If you press a button between the autosave and when the cutscene starts, the cutscene becomes unskippable
- -Timing starts when the cutscene starts
- -Bully, Rosie, Dad, Lovers is the fastest route by a second or so. Lovers, Wife, Bully, Dad is also competitive and easier
- -Mash left click and tab to skip conversations quickly
- -Don't get swined
- ===Guild===========
- -Take the route in the video
- -Hitting the GM twice skips a pause at the beginning of the cutscene and sets up for a skip later
- -Pressing block twice in between attacks resets your combo, may or may not make it less likely to make long attacks
- -Try to double kill beetles, use the stick for more range and less likelihood of missing
- -Hit Whisper once when you're both next to your bed "This is your final warning" should play.
- -When you're right next to Whisper or Maze, you can melee them three times before the two of you are pushed far enough apart that you miss
- -Whisper flies through the air during melee test when you get a 3-combo on her.
- -Try to get a feel for when you can let go of the bow during the bow introduction to actually get the credit for the dummy.
- -Hit the GM with the bow from a distance. The arrow triggers the challenge starting, and being sent to Maze ends the challenge
- -If you actually teleported to Maze, you were too close to the GM (the challenge didn't have a chance to start), but you can still head to the Will challenge
- -Zap the targets to start the Will challenge, then shoot Maze 4 times. Same bug as before. If you don't start the challenge, you'll teleport to Maze
- -Locking on to Maze during the exam helps you keep track of where he teleports
- -If Maze is against the wall during the melee section, you can hit him 4 times in a row before moving back to him
- -Buy Assassin Rush (Hover your mouse over Will, mash D until you have the spell, and hit escape.)
- ===Wasp Menace=====
- -Rush roll to Lookout Point.
- -Click once to skip the dude's dialog (you'll get a feel for when it'll pop up)
- -There's a bug where this dialog doesn't show up if you scare him with Rush. You'll probably end up punching and losing time.
- -Charge a bow shot when the queen is spinning for a burst of damage when she stops
- -Wasp Queen goes invulnerable at about 3/4 health until she summons more wasps
- -She won't summon more until she's at that health amount. 1 charged bow shot does it.
- ===Orchard Farm====
- -Rushroll to BSN; don't rush near the statue because of hobo/bully sidedashes; you have one Will potion to work with
- -In BSN, buy and sell Grain Sacks and Apple Pies to get: 2.3k gp, his will potions, a spade, and a fishing rod
- -Talk to Maze, get a bow from the blacksmith, and head to the Ages of Might potion.
- -It doesn't matter if you get caught stealing the Ages of Might.
- -Protect Orchard Farm; Take Quest and Boast
- -Fish up the Ages of Skill potion near Lookout Point
- -Collect the Master of the Will potion from Greatwood; this potion prevents overuse of Will Potions during Arena
- -Once you reach the quest, equip your bow, put your potions on the hotbar, and drink the Master of the Will potion
- -There are three bandit waves
- -Wave 1: Charge fully before shooting anyone to maximize initial mod. Shoot the other two once or twice
- -Lightning the guard in between waves 1 and 2 to stop modifier from going down
- -Wave 2: Oneshot them with zoom
- -Between 2 and 3, kill both guards. Put a bit of time in between so you don't lose any mod
- -Wave 3: Oneshot them, drink Ages potions at 11 or 12 mod.
- -Flourish Whisper then 3 or 4 shot her with the bow
- ===Trader Escort===
- -Proceed directly from Orchard Farm to Greatwood Cullis Gate
- -Taking a quest removes Recall from your guild seal, but not cullis gates.
- -Lightning the toll bandit so he doesn't talk to you
- -If there are enemies hitting you in GCG, using the Guild Seal from your inventory is instant and cannot be interrupted
- -Getting lucky is faster
- -Leveling: Physique 3, Speed 4, Accuracy 3, Multi-strike 1, Physical Shield 1, Assassin Rush 2, Multi-arrow 1, Magic Power 2
- -Murder the infected Bandit for evil points and skipping the conversation. Multi-arrow increases chance of one-shotting
- -Sidedashing is really common and really bad in this quest. (See 19:19 in video)
- -Murder the trader with the higher pitched voice during Camp. Head through the loading zone as soon as the other trader turns around at the camp.
- -You can charge the bow while rolling if you started the pull before rolling.
- -Headshot the golem twice with multiarrow between each set of rock tosses
- -Left click to end the conversation with the quest npc, not escape
- ===Bandit Seeress===
- -Buy and sell Emeralds at the Oakvale General Store to reach 120k gold; buy his will potions
- -Get the quest, buy Master Greatsword/Master Bow/Will Potions from guild shop, use your seal from the shop
- -Only two bandits need to be killed during the stealth section; just kill them with your bow
- -Sidedashing to the bandit you don't kill (the first) ends the run
- -If a chest is highlighted, pressing Tab opens it, no matter where your hero is
- -Backdashing on the chest map is common. Usually better to just roll unless you're confident you aren't going to backdash
- -Ages of Skill on chest map
- -F5 to open the Weapons menu, right click to move back to Equipment, Clothing -> Suits -> Bandit
- -Grab the Ages of Will and Ages of Might from camp maps
- -The right barrel contains the Ages of Might. It's hard to dodge the carrot in the left barrel
- -Twinblade: dash behind him and hit to interrupt attacks. Multistrike him then hit him normally to get three hits per ground smash (2 cycles Twinblade)
- -Don't kill Twinblade
- ===Find the Archaeologist===
- -Port from Maze to Witchwood
- -Kill the left hand brambles so they're gone later for the focus site quest.
- -Grab the Ages of the Will near the golem
- -The colums from left to right are TIHS, hit them in order of HITS (3214)
- ===White Balverine===
- -Head from Archaeologist to Knothole Glade (it has a Cullis Gate)
- -Safety strat: fish up Master of the Will Elixir in the pond where the White Balverine spawns.
- -Once at KHG, port back to guild and buy Enflame 2
- -The next Balverine won't spawn unless your back is to the entrance of the zone
- -Kill Villagers in between Balverines for safety evil (shouldn't cost any time)
- -Shoot the White Balverine with Multi-arrow to tick the counter up quickly (multi-arrow is luck based, may not get a good speedup)
- -Put the Silver Augmentation on your bow
- -After you get the aug and you hit the Balverine 5 times, the cutscene won't start until you can no longer see the white balverine
- -flip your camera around so you're looking away
- -Don't put your bow away, doesn't influence rolls
- -Shoot the White Balverine with a full charge and multiarrow from the top of the hill. oneshots it.
- -Kill Balverines with Enflame, pop Ages potions at peak modifier
- -Port back to KHG with seal (puts you closer to the quest ender)
- ===The Arena===
- -Port to Guild and level Enflame 3, Multi-strike 2, Physique 4, Speed 5, Force Push 2, Slow Time 1, Berserk 2, Physical Shield 2, Magic Power 3 (optional)
- -Port to Barrow Fields and grab the two Ages potions from Grey House
- -Port to KHG and head to Arena
- -Buy Potions and augmentations from the Arena vendor
- -If he won't sell to you, take off the bandit clothes
- -Use enflame and your sword to kill things in arena. can also use bow if you want. personal preference here.
- -Berserk/Multistrike is a very good workhorse throughout the entire run
- -Force Push corpses to run your combat multiplier extremely high. Target 100 multiplier during the last Bandit wave, and pop your potions before the Golems
- -Slow Time and Multistrike/Berserk to kill the golems quickly.
- -Stand at the side of the golem and you may baseball rocks to the other golem, or you may get chain combod and lose a lot of time.
- -Stand in between the scorpions right claw (your left) and his first leg - his AI has trouble figuring out how to hit you there. Slow Time, Berserk, Multistrike
- -Whisper goes invulnerable at some point. Let her throw three grenades to make her vulnerable again. Rushing her tends to make her leap and land somewhere else
- -Don't kill Whisper it's annoying and slow and she can go invulnerable again if she feels like it
- ===Rescue the Archaeologist===
- -Head to Barrow Fields and talk to your sister (I do this backwards in the video by accident)
- -Purchase the following:
- -STRENGTH: Max Physique
- -SKILL: Max Speed, Max Accuracy
- -WILL: Max Magic Power
- -Attack Spells: Max Multi-strike, Max Enflame
- -Physical: Physical Shield 3, Berserk 3, Max Rush, Max Multi-arrow
- -Surround: Slow Time 2, Force Push 3
- -Spend the rest of your XP on Slow Time and Force Push
- -If you don't have enough, omit Accuracy 7 and Multi-arrow 4.
- -Buy Will Potions and Solus Greatsword in Bowerstone North
- -Rush down to the docks with Slow Time and kill the two magic minions to trigger the end quest.
- -If other minions make it to the docks, you'll lose a couple minutes killing them.
- ===Lichfield Graveyard===
- -Port to Hero's guild then immediately back to Prison Path to move back to the door.
- -Grab the things from Graveyard. Force Push/Slow Time to maneuver around the undead better; getting a piece removes Slow Time.
- -This is the hardest quest for movement, don't worry about it too much.
- -To kill the three medium undead at Circle, Slow Time and Enflame twice. If you don't Slow Time, the first Enflame will push them out of the circle.
- -Grab your mother and get imprisoned
- ===Prison===
- -The first cutscene is 3 minutes. The second is about 2; I haven't measured it. Molyneux-mandated bathroom break
- -Roll canceling is extremely difficult with speed 7
- -You can roll during the fade-in of the recital without increasing the noise bar
- -Make a lot of noise to have him teleport you closer to the books with 0 noise
- -The prison bell before you grab your stuff is extremely loud, be wary.
- -Grab your mother and head for the Kraken
- -Phase 1: Tentacles die in one enflame, can kill all four in two enflames.
- -You can take half the Kraken's health with a single multi-arrow, then he goes invulnerable
- -Phase 2: Tentacles die in two, need four enflames total.
- -Oneshot the rest of its health
- ===Return to Hook Coast===
- -Head from Prison to Barrow Fields then to Darkwood Cullis Gate
- -Head to the barrier and port back to guild.
- -Get the book from Maze's quarters and head to the GM to get the quest card
- -Don't rush on the stairs to the ruined chapel at Hook Coast, there's a banshee you'll sidedash to.
- -Maze has five positions he teleports between as his health bar changes: The chapel, the stairs, the waterfront, the top of the lighthouse, and the front of the lighthouse
- -If Maze's health is low enough, he'll teleport to the next spot and then immediately teleport again.
- -If you take too long or Maze is being a dick, he'll heal or use Physical Shield
- -There is a small window between when Maze gets up and when he takes his next action where he is vulnerable.
- -You can hit him once per location this way when he'd like to teleport, skipping 1 spot each time.
- -The perfect Maze fight is as follows:
- -Berserk immediately, ready multistrike and your weapon while he gets up. Hit him, he goes down, hit him again.
- -Head to the third location, repeat. Head to the final location, kill.
- -You can hit Maze between when he gets up and when he teleports away once at each location. It is a small timing window.
- -If you head to the top of the lighthouse and don't kill him there, you can use Multiarrow from the top to skip the walk back down.
- ===Try to Stop Jack of Blades===
- -Port to Guild and take the cullis gate after the cutscene.
- -Head to each location quickly. Beware of backdashes, Slow Time and Force Push help.
- ===Kill Jack of Blades===
- -Hit the minions with multistrike, oneshot phase 1 Jack with berserk and multistrike.
- -Use Slow Time, Multiarrow, and Berserk (optional) to kill phase 2 Jack quickly.
- -Kill your sister
- ===Fire Heart===
- -Get Berserk 4
- -Do the quest. The Fable wiki has a list of layouts, and it's consistent which one you get based on your route. No testing has been done to find a fastest route.
- ===Ship of the Drowned===
- -Put Solus back on, Jack's sword is crap
- -Immediately Slow Time, Berserk, Multistrike
- -Summoners are invulnerable during their charge attack
- -While the summoner is dying, berserk roll back off the bridge.
- -Only the three Summoners need to die
- ===oracle of Snowspire===
- -Head to the village
- -Port to Archon's Shrine, head to the necropolis.
- -The three tablets are buried under the following headstones: I. Lovett, T. Fung, Georg W.
- -The possible locations are marked as green dots on the map.
- -The two summoners and two minions at the end all need to die. Any other enemies that follow you in there don't. Try not to mix them up.
- ===Collecting an Arena Soul===
- -Slow Time to get an opportunity to seal away after the quest.
- -Seal to the village.
- -Seal to Archon's Shrine
- -Seal to KHG.
- -Hit Thunder once to start the fight, then Berserk/Multistrike him. He hits like a truck, don't let him do anything.
- ===Collecting a Heroine Soul===
- -Hit Briar to start the fight
- -Use Force Push on her illusions. The one that starts casting again is the real one.
- ===Collecting the Oldest Soul===
- -Head to Guild Woods
- -Murder guards with Berserk and Multistrike
- -Say NO to the guild master. DO NOT LEFT CLICK. DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT MURDERING HIM.
- ===The Final Battle===
- -One-cycle Jack with Slow Time, Berserk, Multistrike, Physical Shield. You need to stop whacking to turn Shield back on in between attacks.
- -If he flies away, you lose over a minute and may die (his flames oneshot you since you have 0 health and toughness and are not wearing armor)
