  2. d'aww that's precious
  3. it's like she;s trying to be supportive and strong for her friend but also "please don't see me cry, please don't see me cry"
  4.
  5. Ange - Today at 7:52 PM
  6. aaaaaaa probably yeah
  7. what a good
  8. Mimi can brush her tears away
  9.
  10. Z3e2d0 - Today at 7:52 PM
  11. try to comfort your friend but you end up comforting each other
  12. Papikana probably didn't even realize how much she needed that hug until she had it
  13. But that;s just the kind of caring person Mimi needs
  14.
  15. Ange - Today at 7:58 PM
  16. bless
  17. it's super hard on both of them but they're also worried about each other rip
  18.
  19. Z3e2d0 - Today at 8:00 PM
  20. I imagine this arising out of one of those, like, talks about what they're going to do, how are they gonna keep running and manage the baby and find peace and everything
  21. and then papikana hugs Mimi, and Mimi hugs her back, and they realize in that little moment: none of that other stuff matters, they just need each other. As long have that, and the soon to be daughter, they can figure the rest out somehow
  22. Did you guys ever end up doing an "on the run" AU? I can't remember if you brought something like that up before
  23.
  24. Ange - Today at 8:04 PM
  25. they're too cute aaaa
  26. ehh not super strictly but we have talked a fair amount about mimikana shenanigans
  27.
  28. Z3e2d0 - Today at 8:07 PM
  29. I've been kinda thinking about that lately: like, what if Mimikana never got caught. Cocona was born and they kept running, and raised her together while on the move, constantly avoiding pursuit and staying in hiding while trying to give this kid a childhood and being in love with each other and all that
  30. Not able to live normal lives but still trying to find a little bit of normalcy in those few safe moments together when they can
  31.
  32. Z3e2d0 - Today at 8:22 PM
  33. Because of being raised while on the run for a while, Cocona would have a pretty good excuse for being kinda awkward and withdrawn
  34. but like, now she has ALL the family, and friends, and a stable home
  35. so she'd finally be able to start coming out of her shell
  36.
  37. Ange - Today at 8:25 PM
  38. Papikana pretty much legit being Cocona's mom/dad is quite cute
  39. imagine how proud she and Mimi would be when Cocona would come home from school with a good citizenship award or something bc she was helpful in class
  40.
  41. Z3e2d0 - Today at 8:26 PM
  42. Mimikana complement each other so well but I feel like their parenting styles would be hilariously different
  43. Like Mimi would want to plan a cozy little event to celebrate Cocona's school success and have everything just perfect
  44. and Papikana would just be like "follow me, I wanna show you this really pretty spot I found while hunting"
  45. and poof, they'd be off to the woods
  46. They come back after curfew, all covered with dirt and twigs and stuff after watching the sunset on some rocky ouytrcop of a clearing
  47. and Mimi's just standing their like "BUT THE PARTY"
  48.
  49. Ange - Today at 8:29 PM
  50. lmao
  51. overplanning Mimi as usual, gotta have everything perfect for her daughter
  52. ah, Mimi sighing and forcing them both to take a bath
  53. but Papikana convinces Mimi to take one with them
  54. family bathtime where they can do the hand squirting water thing at each other
  55. Cocona and Papikana can gang up on Mimi with it
  56.
  57. Z3e2d0 - Today at 8:37 PM
  58. Fortunately for Mimi, she knows all of Papikana's weak points and turns the tide. Papikana's so ticklish that she's an easy target.
  59. Cocona sees the opening and jumps right in, too. The three of them are just laughing and roughhousing in the bath, splashing out water and getting sidetrack from actually bathing.
  60. and as they're having sincere, unguarded fun, it just kinda sinks in how special it is for them to be able to bath like this, in a real bath instead of a river or an old garbagecan, without looking over their shoulders and keeping their voices down for fear of what might be looking for them.
  61.
  62. Cocona's a little older now and they haven't all slept in the same bed together for a while, but that night she insists and neither of them have any urge to say no
  63. A little while after they've all snuggled in and settled down and turned off the lights, Cocona just asks in a really small voice: "This isn't going away, is it?"
  64. and Mimi and Papikana look at each other, both trying to hold back the tears in their eyes, and they look down at Cocona and Mimi strokes her fluffy little head and they tell her "No, it's not," and neither of them are prepared for how happy it makes them to hear themselves say
  65.
  66. Ange - Today at 8:44 PM
  67. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa this is the purest thing ever
  68. never thought about Cocona growing up with them with that hardship of running away and all that
  69. imagine Papikana and Cocona playing around in the field near their home and Mimi watching them and just feeling super content
  70. all of them playing hide and seek together
  71.
  72. also Mimi and Papikana casually kissing to greet each other when Papikana gets home from work, and Papikana missed Mimi so much that it turns into a bit of making out in the hallway
  73. still shy Cocona peaks out from the the other doorway and both of them notice her
  74. Papikana goes to pick her up and gives her a kiss on the forehead, and Mimi does the same
  75. they both love each other and their little girl
