  1. Emily: Brother! Are you awake?
  2.
  3. *sound of knocking on a door*
  4.
  5. Emily knocks on the door to her brother's bedroom a few times, waiting for a response.
  6.
  7. *sound of muffled voice*
  8.
  9. Steven: *groans* Ugh..I am now. What? I'm trying to sleep.
  10.
  11. Steven rolls over onto his back and looks up at his ceiling as he blinks a few times, trying to focus.
  12.
  13. Emily: It's already after noon!
  14.
  15. *sound of muffled voice*
  16.
  17. Steven: So what? I don't have anywhere to be. It's Sunday.
  18.
  19. Emily: I know, but..but...
  20.
  21. Emily begins banging on the door louder now, repeatedly.
  22.
  23. Emily: GET UP!!
  24.
  25. *sound of louder muffled voice*
  26.
  27. Steven: What the hell?!
  28.
  29. Steven quickly pulls the blanket off of himself and hops out of bed, then walks over to his bedroom door. He unlocks it, then opens it quickly to see her standing in front of him.
  30.
  31. Steven: What's the big deal? Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?
  32.
  33. Emily: You can't sleep all day, brother.
  34.
  35. She looks up at him, smiling innocently as she has her hands placed behind herself, swaying lightly.
  36.
  37. Steven: What are you, my mother? Ah whatever..I can't go back to sleep now anyway. Thanks a lot.
  38.
  39. Emily: *giggles* Glad I could help!
  40.
  41. Emily turns around, then begins making her way downstairs as Steven is left standing there, scratching the back of his head.
  42.
  43. *sound of walking downstairs*
  44.
  45. Steven: Ugh..I was being sarcastic, you know...
  46.
  47. Steven turns around to look at the clock next to his bed, then sighs to himself softly.
  48.
  49. Steven: Well..I guess I should go ahead and make another trip to the store. This time WITH my wallet..*grumbles*
  50.
  51. He slowly walks back over to his bed, then sits down and begins putting a pair of socks on, followed by his shoes. After putting his shoes on, he reaches over to his wallet, keys, and cellphone on the dresser beside his bed, then picks them up, stuffing them into his pockets.
  52.
  53. *sound of keys jingling*
  54.
  55. Steven: I wonder what it was Rachel wanted to talk about though..well, if she does come over today like she said she would, then I guess I'll find out soon enough.
  56.
  57. Steven gets up from his bed, then walks out of his bedroom, closing the door behind him on his way out. He then proceeds to go downstairs.
  58.
  59. *sound of door closing*
  60.
  61. *sound of walking downstairs*
  62.
  63. Steven: Emily. I'm gonna be gone for a little while, alright? Emily?
  64.
  65. Steven stops near the front door, then looks into the living room and doesn't see his little sister anywhere to be found.
  66.
  67. Steven: That's weird..I know she came down here. Well, whatever. I'll be back later!
  68.
  69. He opens the front door, then steps outside, closing the door behind him before making his way to his car in the driveway.
  70.
  71. *sound of door opening*
  72.
  73. *sound of door closing*
  74.
  75. Rachel: Sorry Steven, I know what you said, but..she's your sister.
  76.
  77. Little did Steven know, Rachel had been watching his movements from her bedroom window. After he pulls out of the driveway, she steps out of her bedroom and begins walking to the front door.
  78.
  79. *sound of car pulling away*
  80.
  81. Rachel: If I can help her in some way..I'd like to.
  82.
  83. Rachel opens the door slowly, then steps outside, her high heels making contact with the concrete ground before she reaches behind herself and closes the door. She nods to herself, confident, as she walks around her neighbor's front yard to ring the doorbell, knowing she will be able to help Emily with whatever problem she may be facing.
  84.
  85. *sound of doorbell ringing*
  86.
  87. Emily: Be right there!
  88.
  89. *sound of muffled voice*
  90.
  91. *sound of faint footsteps*
  92.
  93. *sound of door opening*
  94.
  95. Emily opens the door to see Rachel standing in front of her, slightly confused since she wasn't expecting her to come over so early.
  96.
  97. Emily: Wh-what are you doing here, Rachel?
  98.
  99. Rachel: What do you mean?
  100.
  101. Rachel tilts her head lightly as she looks down at Emily, curiously.
  102.
  103. Emily: I mean..my brother isn't home right now. I thought you would be by a little later. That's all.
  104.
  105. Rachel: Oh..ummm..well, while I do have to talk with Steven about something important later, I'm actually here to talk with you.
  106.
  107. Emily: With me?
  108.
  109. Rachel: I know...
  110.
  111. For a moment, Emily felt her legs start to wobble slightly as she was struck with fear, afraid of what might happen should Rachel reveal the truth. If she knows what happened and if this is the important thing she wished to discuss with Steven, it could ruin everything.
  112.
  113. Emily: Kn-know what..?
  114.
  115. Emily looks up at Rachel, starting to feel her heart sink as she grasps the table beside her to maintain her balance, feeling more nervous than before.
  116.
  117. Rachel: You've had a lot on your mind lately..haven't you?
  118.
  119. Emily: H-huh?
  120.
  121. Rachel: It's okay. You can talk to me. I won't tell your brother, I promise.
  122.
  123. Emily begins to straighten her posture as she suddenly realizes that Rachel doesn't know about the death of Jacob. She giggles to herself softly after sighing in relief.
  124.
  125. Emily: *sighs, then giggles* I guess I can't fool you, huh..? You're right. I have had something on my mind lately..
  126.
  127. She slowly steps aside, giving Rachel room to step inside now as she removes her hand from the table.
  128.
  129. Rachel: You can tell me all about it, Emily. I'm sure whatever it is..I've probably been through it before *giggles*
  130.
  131. Rachel steps inside, her high heels clicking lightly against the hard wood floor.
  132.
  133. Emily: Y-you're probably right. It's..ummm..about a boy...*giggles*
  134.
  135. Emily closes the door behind Rachel, then takes a couple of steps towards the staircase and stops, swaying lightly in a shy manner.
  136.
  137. Rachel: Boy trouble, huh? I've definitely been there. You sure are growing up a lot faster than I did though.
  138.
  139. Emily turns around to face Rachel, looking up at her innocently.
  140.
  141. Emily: Really? You think so, Rachel?
  142.
  143. Rachel: Oh, absolutely. Before long, you'll be a young lady.
  144.
  145. Emily: Like you?
  146.
  147. Rachel: Like me?
  148.
  149. Emily: Yeah! I hope I can be really pretty like you when I grow up.
  150.
  151. Rachel feels herself start to blush in embarrassment, then looks away as she shifts nervously.
  152.
  153. Rachel: N-no..I'm not..I mean...ummm...
  154.
  155. Emily: *giggles* See? I'm right!
  156.
  157. Rachel: *clears her throat* Ahem! N-now you said th-there was something on your mind, r-right..?
  158.
  159. She looks back down at Emily after finally regaining her composure.
  160.
  161. Emily: Yeah, but ummm..you gotta promise not to tell anyone, okay?
  162.
  163. Rachel: Of course. My lips are sealed, Emily.
  164.
  165. Emily: Good!
  166.
  167. Emily turns around and begins walking up the stairs.
  168.
  169. *sound of walking up stairs*
  170.
  171. Rachel: Oh and Emily.
  172.
  173. Emily: Yeah?
  174.
  175. She stops to turn and look down at Rachel still standing at the bottom of the stairs.
  176.
  177. Rachel: Thanks.
  178.
  179. Emily: For what?
  180.
  181. Rachel looks up at her, smiling softly.
  182.
  183. Rachel: For what you said earlier..that means a lot.
  184.
  185. Emily: Oh. Well it's true *giggles*
  186.
  187. Emily continues walking up the stairs, then reaches her bedroom and opens the door. She glances behind her for a second, seeing that Rachel was just now starting to walk up the stairs, so she quickly steps into her bedroom and grabs the box cutter from underneath the pillow on her bed. With the box cutter now in her hand, she looks around for a place to hide it, then finally opens a drawer on one of her dressers and drops it inside, closing the drawer.
  188.
  189. *sound of door opening*
  190.
  191. *sound of drawer opening*
  192.
  193. *sound of drawer closing*
  194.
  195. *sound of high heels walking upstairs*
  196.
  197. Rachel: You really take after your brother, you know.
  198.
  199. Emily: How so?
  200.
  201. Rachel reaches the top of the stairs and looks into Emily's bedroom, smiling as she sees the girl standing next to one of her dressers.
  202.
  203. Rachel: You're both really kind.
  204.
  205. Emily: Ummm..thanks *giggles*
  206.
  207. She slowly steps into Emily's bedroom, looking around at the surroundings, then notices a small red spot underneath the rug.
  208.
  209. Rachel: Oh goodness. What happened there? You can't just cover something like that up.
  210.
  211. Emily: N-nothing! I just..spilled something and covered it up since my brother would get upset if he found out *laughs nervously*
  212.
  213. Rachel: That's not a problem. I can show you a way to get it out. It will only take a minute.
  214.
  215. Rachel begins to walk towards the stain, then Emily quickly steps in front of her, waving her hands frantically.
  216.
  217. Emily: Th-th-that won't be necessary! Y-you can tell me all about it after we finish talking about this problem, okay? That's more important, right?
  218.
  219. Rachel: Well..I suppose you're right. It can wait, but..we shouldn't leave it like that for too long or it could be stained for good.
  220.
  221. Emily: Oh, it's just a rug anyway. It'll be fine.
  222.
  223. Emily reaches out to Rachel's right hand, then grabs it and guides her to the edge of the bed and sits down. Rachel sits down beside Emily, placing her hands onto her lap.
  224.
  225. Emily: So, ummm..what do you do when you..you know...like a guy?
  226.
  227. Rachel: Well, that's pretty easy actually. Have you tried talking to him?
  228.
  229. Emily: N-no...I was afraid of what he might say..
  230.
  231. She looks up at Rachel before looking down at the ground with a disappointed look on her face.
  232.
  233. Rachel: Ah...now that can be difficult. Dealing with the fear of rejection is tough for anyone at any age, Emily..
  234.
  235. Emily: Really..?
  236.
  237. Emily looks back up at Rachel, looking a little more relieved.
  238.
  239. Rachel: Yeah. No matter how old you get, you'll always have to deal with it. It's just a part of life.
  240.
  241. Emily: I-I think I get it...
  242.
  243. Emily: So..what do I do if he actually talks to me though?
  244.
  245. Rachel: Then you keep talking to him, of course.
  246.
  247. Emily: But I don't know what guys like!
  248.
  249. Rachel slowly lifts her right hand from her lap, then rubs the top of Emily's head gently.
  250.
  251. Rachel: *giggles* Trust me..they're thinking the same thing about you. That's what makes it so interesting, you know? It wouldn't be any fun if both of you already knew everything there is to know about each other.
  252.
  253. Emily: Nnnn..I guess that makes sense..
  254.
  255. Emily lowers her head slightly, then closes her eyes as she feels Rachel's hand rub against the top of her head.
  256.
  257. Emily: C-can you tell me about how you and my brother met..?
  258.
  259. Rachel removes her hand from the top of Emily's head, placing it back onto her lap as she taps her fingers together nervously.
  260.
  261. Rachel: *giggles* It..it's that obvious, huh...?
  262.
  263. Emily: *giggles* Y-yeah..a little...
  264.
  265. Rachel: S-sorry..
  266.
  267. Emily: Oh..it's fine, really. You don't have to apologize.
  268.
  269. She places her hands onto the mattress, pushing herself off of the bed lightly and begins walking towards the dresser where she hid the box cutter earlier.
  270.
  271. Rachel: Well, your brother and I have known each other since we were kids actually.
  272.
  273. Emily: Really?
  274.
  275. Emily reaches down to the drawer, opening it slowly to reveal the green box cutter beside a purple hair brush.
  276.
  277. Rachel: Mmhmm. We didn't actually start hanging out with each other more until high school though.
  278.
  279. Emily: Why is that?
  280.
  281. She slowly reaches inside the open drawer with her right hand and grabs the green box cutter, then slips it underneath the thick handle on the hair brush to conceal it.
  282.
  283. Rachel: Well..I guess it was because..before we got to high school, we didn't really understand ourselves? We were just kids. I guess in high school, you're still a kid though..*giggles*
  284.
  285. Emily: Oh..*giggles* that makes sense then.
  286.
  287. Emily pulls out the hair brush from the drawer, then turns back around to face Rachel. She tilts the hair brush slightly to show the front of the hair brush, keeping the box cutter hidden behind it.
  288.
  289. Emily: You don't mind, do you?
  290.
  291. Rachel: Hmmm?
  292.
  293. Rachel looks over at Emily, then the hair brush and shakes her head.
  294.
  295. Rachel: Not at all!
  296.
  297. Emily: It will be like we're sisters or something *giggles*
  298.
  299. Emily begins walking back to her original position on the bed, making sure the box cutter stays out of Rachel's field of vision. After crawling back onto the bed beside Rachel, Emily shifts behind Rachel and sits Indian Style, now pulling the box cutter out from underneath the hair brush and placing it behind herself on the bed.
  300.
  301. Emily: So, ummm..are you saying I should wait until I get into high school before talking with boys?
  302.
  303. Rachel: No no, I'm just saying that's when I started dating.
  304.
  305. Emily: Ohhh...okay.
  306.
  307. Rachel: Yeah..dating is another beast entirely *giggles*
  308.
  309. Emily lifts her left hand and pulls some of Rachel's long auburn hair back and begins brushing it with her right hand.
  310.
  311. Emily: Geez Rachel..when was the last time you got a haircut?
  312.
  313. Rachel: Mmmm..it's been a few years.
  314.
  315. Emily: I don't know why I never noticed how long it was before.
  316.
  317. She continues to bring the hair brush down against Rachel's hair. After straightening out her hair a bit, she places the hair brush beside her, then begins pulling some more of Rachel's hair behind her.
  318.
  319. Rachel: Ow ow ow..
  320.
  321. Emily: Oh, sorry! Did that hurt?
  322.
  323. Rachel: Just a little bit. I think some of my hair got caught in my necklace or something. It's fine now though.
  324.
  325. Rachel looks around the room as she feels Emily pulling her hair back, thinking about what kind of hairstyle she is going to put her hair in.
  326.
  327. Emily: So..ummm....when was the first time you kissed?
  328.
  329. Rachel: Oh..well..that's quite the question *giggles*
  330.
  331. Rachel: *clears her throat* Ahem..well, I was probably a little bit younger than you. I was waiting for my dad to pick me up from school one day and I remember seeing this boy...
  332.
  333. *conversation fades out*
  334.
  335. Meanwhile, at the supermarket...
  336.
  337. *sound of cash registers and supermarket noise*
  338.
  339. Steven: *grumbles* Figures..I don't even have ten items here and I get stuck behind an old woman with a million coupons..
  340.
  341. Steven looks around for a shorter line as he stands behind an elderly woman, then sighs as he realizes it would be counterproductive to switch lines at this point.
  342.
  343. Steven: *sighs* Well, I've been here this long..
  344.
  345. He reaches into his right pocket, then pulls out his cellphone and begins scrolling through his contact list.
  346.
  347. Steven: I guess I'll give Jacob a call to see what he's up to while I wait.
  348.
  349. *sound of cellphone dialing*
  350.
  351. *sound of ringing*
  352.
  353. *sound of ringtone*
  354.
  355. Rachel: What's that sound?
  356.
  357. Emily suddenly grips Rachel's hair tighter on accident as she realizes Jacob's cellphone could foil her plan, now cursing to herself in her head as she thinks about how he's still managing to cause trouble for her, even after his death.
  358.
  359. Rachel: Ow! What are you doing?!
  360.
  361. Emily: Sorry, it just..kind of startled me, that's all!
  362.
  363. Rachel: It..startled me too. Where is it coming from? It sounds like it's coming from...
  364.
  365. Rachel looks around the room for a moment, trying to pinpoint the location. Her eyes finally stop at the red stain underneath the rug.
  366.
  367. Rachel: underneath..the bed?
  368.
  369. Emily: U-underneath the bed? That's not where I keep my cellphone..
  370.
  371. She slowly removes her right hand from gripping Rachel's hair, then reaches for the box cutter behind herself and begins pushing the blade out very gently. While pushing the blade out, she presses it down against the bed to try and reduce the noise until finally, she pushes it out completely.
  372.
  373. Rachel: Wait..you said you were startled too. Why would your own cellphone startle you? You must have heard that ringtone plenty of times..and..why is it underneath the bed...?
  374.
  375. *sound of ringtone*
  376.
  377. Emily: No..it's just...
  378.
  379. Rachel: M-maybe I should get going...
  380.
  381. Rachel tries to stand up from the bed and can feel her hair being pulled back by Emily's left hand. Her head is immediately pulled back, exposing her pale neck as she tries to break free from Emily's grasp.
  382.
  383. Emily: Sorry..*giggles* I can't let you do that.
  384.
  385. Emily quickly brings her right hand around to the left side of Rachel's neck, then places the box cutter blade firmly against her throat. Rachel can see a smile on Emily's face as she looks into the mirror in front of her, above the dresser. Emily keeps her head just above Rachel's right shoulder, smiling as she looks into the mirror to see the look of horror come across Rachel's face. She buries the blade deep into the left side of Rachel's throat and begins pulling it to the right side of her throat, making a deep incision, then watches as her blood begins to pour out of the wound like a waterfall..tainting her skin and clothes in a deep crimson color.
  386.
  387. *sound of blade cutting flesh*
  388.
  389. Steven: That's weird. He hardly ever misses phone calls. I guess he's in the bathroom or something. Oh well.
  390.
  391. *sound of cash registers and supermarket noise*
  392.
  393. Steven puts the phone back into his pocket and sees the elderly woman is finally finishing in front of him.
  394.
  395. Steven: Finally!
  396.
  397. The elderly woman and cashier turn to look at him after his sudden outburst.
  398.
  399. Steven: I was, uhhh..wondering when it would reach three o'clock...
  400.
  401. Steven: *mumbles* I'm just glad I'm about to be out of here. This took way longer than it should have..
  402.
  403. Emily: You ask too many questions..nosy bitch!
  404.
  405. Emily pulls the blade out from the right side of Rachel's throat, then brings it to her lips, and flicks her tongue against the blunt side of it to taste Rachel's blood.
  406.
  407. Emily: *giggles* I thought it was all just an act, but you're actually sweet on the inside...
  408.
  409. She pulls Rachel's head back roughly, causing the wound to open even more as she looks down into Rachel's lifeless eyes and half open mouth.
  410.
  411. Emily: If you would have just stayed away from my brother...this never would have happened, you whore.
  412.
  413. Emily slowly slips off the bed, beside Rachel, then pushes her body over onto the bed so she is laying on her back. After getting the upper half of her body onto the bed, she lifts her legs and bring them onto the bed as well so she's laying down flat on her back.
  414.
  415. Emily: You can sleep here as long as you want. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
  416.
  417. She brings her right hand into the air, then quickly brings it down to Rachel's body, thrusting the box cutter blade into her chest, just above her breasts.
  418.
  419. *sound of blade thrusting into flesh*
  420.
  421. Emily: This will be a nice surprise for brother when he gets home...*giggles*
  422.
  423. Emily turns around with a smile on her face, then steps around the pool of blood that spilled onto her carpet from Rachel's throat. After reaching the entrance to her bedroom, she turns around ones last time to look at Rachel's corpse on her bed and giggles. She slowly takes a couple of steps back, then grabs the doorknob and closes the door, exiting her room.
  424.
  425. Emily: *giggles*
  426.
  427. She turns back around to face the staircase and begins walking down the stairs, humming a cheerful melody while making her way to the living room.
  428.
  429. *sound of walking downstairs*
  430.
  431. Emily: *hums cheerful melody*
  432.
  433. *sound of footsteps on hard wood floor*
  434.
  435. Upon reaching the living room, Emily sits down on the couch and grabs the remote to the TV. She looks herself over as she stretches her legs out on the couch, making sure she doesn't have any traces of blood on her, then begins flipping through the channels as she waits for her brother to come home.
  436.
  437. *sound of TV being turned on*
  438.
  439. *sound of channels changing*
  440.
  441. Fifteen minutes later...
  442.
  443. *sound of door opening*
  444.
  445. *sound of rustling plastic bags*
  446.
  447. *sound of door closing*
  448.
  449. Steven: I'm back
  450.
  451. Emily: Oh, hey brother!
  452.
  453. Emily turns off the TV, then sets the remote beside her on the couch. She quickly brings her legs to a sitting position before getting up from the couch to greet her brother.
  454.
  455. *sound of footsteps on hard wood floor*
  456.
  457. Emily: So, what all did you get?
  458.
  459. Emily begins to curiously look at both of the plastic bags while Steven walks past her and makes his way into the kitchen.
  460.
  461. *sound of footsteps on hard wood floor*
  462.
  463. Steven: Oh, not much really. Got some chips, cookies, that sort of thing.
  464.
  465. Emily: Geez brother. If you keep eating all of that junk food, you're gonna get fat.
  466.
  467. She steps into the kitchen from behind him and leans back against a wall as she watches him put away the groceries.
  468.
  469. *sound of rustling plastic bags*
  470.
  471. *sound of cabinet door opening*
  472.
  473. Steven: *laughs softly* Oh right, as if I'm the ONLY one around here eating this stuff.
  474.
  475. Emily: *giggles* W-well..I might, b-but only a little bit..!
  476.
  477. Steven places his right hand against the side of the open cabinet door as he looks over at Emily.
  478.
  479. Steven: Hey, uhhh..Rachel didn't drop by, did she?
  480.
  481. Emily: Nope, I haven't seen her today. Why? Were you expecting her?
  482.
  483. He slowly pushes the cabinet shut, then grabs the plastic bags and pushes them down into a garbage can beside him.
  484.
  485. *sound of cabinet door closing*
  486.
  487. *sound of rustling plastic bags*
  488.
  489. Steven: Oh..yeah. She said she wanted to talk with me about something, that's all.
  490.
  491. Steven turns to the entrance of the kitchen with a disappointed look on his face, then walks past his little sister.
  492.
  493. *sound of footsteps on hard wood floor*
  494.
  495. Steven: Well, I'm gonna be in my room then. Call me if you need anything.
  496.
  497. He continues to walk through the living room, then begins walking up the stairs to go to his bedroom.
  498.
  499. *sound of footsteps on hard wood floor*
  500.
  501. *sound of walking up stairs in distance*
  502.
  503. Emily: O-okay!
  504.
  505. *sound of door opening in distance*
  506.
  507. *sound of door closing in distance*
  508.
  509. Emily places her hands against the wall behind her and pushes herself gently away from it, walking towards the knife block on the kitchen counter. She slowly lifts her right hand up, then clasps her fingers around the handle of a chef's knife and pulls it out from its holding place.
  510.
  511. *sound of pulling knife out*
  512.
  513. Emily: Sorry brother..you have to be punished.
  514.
  515. Steven: He should have called me back by now. I guess it couldn't hurt to try and call him again.
  516.
  517. Steven reaches into his right pocket and pulls out his cellphone, then scrolls through his contact list to call Jacob.
  518.
  519. *sound of cellphone ringing*
  520.
  521. Emily: You..betrayed me.
  522.
  523. Emily looks down at the knife in her right hand, then looks forward as she steps out of the kitchen and slowly begins walking through the living room.
  524.
  525. *slow footsteps against hard wood floor*
  526.
  527. Steven: Man..this is so weird. Why isn't he an-what the...
  528.
  529. While Steven is pacing back and forth in his bedroom, waiting for Jacob to answer his phone, he can hear the faint sound of a ringtone in the distance. He stops for a moment to make sure what he is hearing is nearby.
  530.
  531. *sound of muffled ringtone in the distance*
  532.
  533. Steven: What's that noise..? It sounds like...Jacob's phone..but that can't be right.
  534.
  535. Emily: *whispers* You're going to pay for everything, brother...
  536.
  537. After exiting the living room, Emily looks up the stairs and grips the handle on the knife harder.
  538.
  539. Steven: Maybe he left it when he dropped by yesterday. That doesn't really sound like him though...
  540.
  541. Steven opens the door to his bedroom while keeping his cellphone close to his ear and can hear the sound of the ringtone becoming more clear. He looks down the hallway, then looks at the door to his little sister's bedroom before taking a couple of steps forward, the ringtone becoming a little louder now.
  542.
  543. *sound of muffled ringtone a little louder*
  544.
  545. Steven: What the...it's coming from Emily's room?
  546.
  547. Emily: Everything..*giggles*
  548.
  549. Emily slowly begins to walk up the stairs while keeping a tight grip on the handle of the knife, smiling to herself.
  550.
  551. *sound of slowly going up stairs, creaking*
  552.
  553. Steven: It's definitely coming from in here.
  554.
  555. *sound of slowly going up stairs, creaking*
  556.
  557. Steven: Sorry Emily, this will take just a second.
  558.
  559. Steven reaches down to the doorknob in front of him, then turns it gently and gives a light push.
  560.
  561. *sound of door creaking open slowly*
  562.
  563. *sound of slowly going up stairs, creaking*
  564.
  565. *sound of ringtone playing clearly*
  566.
  567. Steven: Wh...what is this...?!
  568.
  569. After opening the door to Emily's bedroom, he looks at her bed and can see the corpse of his former lover laying down on her back with her throat slit and the blade from a box cutter lodged into her chest, just above her breasts. His grip begins to loosen on his cellphone while he tries to comprehend what he sees in front of him, then he drops his cellphone on the carpet floor beneath him.
  570.
  571. *sound of soft thud on carpet*
  572.
