- Preservation of the fine arts BasedScruton!!FmHAuIbFjM RxP 11/14/14 (Fri) 14:11:29 2f8a6a No.7745
- ACTION
- The RxP believes that society has a duty to preserve the value and objective beauty behind fine arts. Specifically, the classical arts. This action would achieve this in the following ways:
- 1)Classical artwork (that is, paintings and sculptures evoking classicism such as the sculpture I've posted) will be upheld in art museums as a standard of beauty, and lauded for their creativity and merit.
- 2)Classical artists and musicians will be recognized as paragons of virtue for the art community.
- 3)Living artists will be given funding and recognition for the creation of neoclassical artwork.
- This /sen/ator believes that this action will help to preserve these arts that exhibit beauty in their finest forms, and are essential for the human soul. If we begin to reject beauty in our society, we will eventually begin rejecting other abstract concepts such as love and friendship as well, which will result in an sad, immoral, soulless society. If you believe that the human spirit should be preserved instead of turning humans into lifeless, money-making robots, you should vote "yea" on this action.
- Final Vote

- Nay: 3 (Cherenkov, Weil)
- Abstains: 0
