  4. We believe in equal and fair rights, this protest is to stand up against all reasons why the government should take action for the people and not for the outstanding bullshit that they pull every day. Enough is enough. Anons.

  14. Preparing for a protest (what to bring)
  15. It is a good idea to prepare the following in case you are pepper sprayed or tear gas is used.
  16.
  17. What you will need
  18.
  19. Cotton Fabric a large amount is ideal some bead sheets or bed sheet
  20. A container of baking soda (baking powder)
  21. A sewing kit or if you cannot sew use tape that is at least 2 inches wide (5 cm)
  22. Sunglasses, safety goggles or some form of eye protection if available.
  23. Some water other than drinking water (preferably as much as you can carry)
  24. A change of clothes if possible
  25. Cut two squares of fabric, around 6 inches (15 centimeters) squared. Sew or tape up three of the sides of the two squares together to make a pocket and pour in the baking soda (enough to form a good layer over the whole area of the square), then sew or tape up the last edge. If you use tape, it is a good idea to use a few layers per edge and then a few small squares of tape over each corner. Check your finished square by laying it on a flat surface and shaking it to spread the baking soda inside evenly, you should be able to feel the layer of baking soda if you have added enough in. Keep your new temporary mask in a safe place and carry it around, along with a bottle of water for the mask usage, wherever you go. Goggles or glasses (or sunglasses) should be carried too for at least some level of eye protection at all times.
  26. It is a good idea to make several of these and put them in zip lock bags as they are single use only this will minimize the risk of you getting affected by the tear gas / pepper spray.
  27.
  28. Use:
  29.
  30. If you fear a chemical attack is happening, dampen the square and even out any lumps of soda. Press the square firmly over your nose and mouth and leave the area as quickly as possible.
  31.
  32. THIS MASK IS ONLY FOR TEMPORARY, EMERGENCY USE. IT IS NOT TO BE USED MORE THAN ONCE FOR ANY REASON. IT IS ONLY EFFECTIVE FOR A VERY SHORT TIME AND MUST BE RESPONSIBLY DISPOSED OF. IT WILL POSE A SIGNIFICANT HEALTH HAZARD AFTER USE
  33.
  34. If police in your local area use tasers, there is a home made way to help lessen the effect of a taser on you. If you are concerned about the use of a taser, you can line your clothes, or make home made anti taser clothes by using carbon fiber textiles. At this time, there aren't pre made ones available for purchase anywhere, but studies have shown that carbon fiber can neutralize most police grade stun guns and tasers.
  35. What to do if you get sprayed with pepperspray
  36. If you are pepper sprayed
  37.
  38. Firstly and most importantly remain CALM and find some water, preferably not your drinking water.
  39.
  40. Do not touch items of clothing, other body parts are anything that may come into contact with you or somebody else. Blink rapidly, this will increase water in the eyes and help flush out the pepper spray until a friend arrives or you are able to get some water to help rinse out the spray.
  41.
  42. Get a friend if possible to cup their hands pro water into them and begin rinsing your eye’s thoroughly for up to 10 minutes if possible this will prevent any of the chemical remaining trapped in the affected area and further irritating it. If you are carrying some liquid soap or soapy substance that does not irritate the eyes use that in conjunction with water to thoroughly clean the area.
  43.
  44. DO NOT cover the affected area up, allow the wind and breeze to flow over affected area’s which will also help evaporate the chemicals and reduce the effect.
  45.
  46. DO NOT apply grease or oil based medications to the affected area this will trap the spray and further irritate the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Wash your arms; legs face body and any other potentially affected areas with baby soap to stop the chances of re infecting.
  47.
  48. If possible remove any items of clothing that may have been covered in the spray and thoroughly wash your hands and arms afterwards to prevent further pain and agitation.
  49. What to do if contacted with tear gas
  50.
  51. If you are hit by tear gas:
  52.
  53. Hold your breath for as long as you can.
  54. As important as it is to run and get out of the way running consumes oxygen in the body which will reduce the time you are able to hold your breath for move quickly and calmly to a safe area.
  55. Close your Eye’s - it may sounds silly at first but do not let tear gas get in your eyes if possible close them as much as possible and cover them where they cannot be closed. If you are fleeing the scene with other people another option is to hold that persons hand and form a chain as you move out of the affected area and into safety. Be sure to thoroughly clear any residue off before touching any other body parts especially the eyes nose and mouth.
  56. Get out of the area. - Pretty obvious I know but tear gas canisters are active within seconds so follow the above steps move quickly and calmly as fast as possible to a safe location resume breathing and cleanse yourself.
  57. If you are caught in tear gas do not panic still move to a safe area and follow the above steps as soon as you are safe begin cleaning and try and remain as calm as possible.
  58. Glasses and contacts
  59.
  60. If you wear glasses or contacts when you are in a safe area remove them and clean them as quickly as possible be sure that they are thoroughly clean and if you can get by without them for a little while then do so to reduce any chance of gas being stuck between your contacts and your eye’s
  61.
  62. Rinsing your eyes is tricky. As mentioned earlier, CS is a solid, so it will stick to your skin and cause a burning and stinging sensation. When you add water to the mix, it usually spreads. Your eyes will typically clear out the CS so you can see, but if you find yourself having trouble, rinse with a LOT of water.
