  1. By text warping to rolling ridge through the toilet house, and making an extremely precise jump using a bomb and a gel to boost you, it is possible to get the pegasus seeds as soon as you get the feather. You can use these seeds along with a bomb to reach cheval's grave without moosh and, consequently, without having beaten dungeon 2.
  2.
  3. Buffering:
  4.
  5. Pause buffering is hard in the oracles. After unpausing, you need to press the pause button on the exact frame. If you're too early, it will not pause at all. Too late, and you might advance too many frames. My preferred method of buffering is to press both Start and Select in quick succession, so that if one is too early, the other might be on the correct frame.
  6.
  7. I've noticed that when attempting setup A of the skip (before resetting), the time it takes to unpause seems to be slightly longer, which could mess up your timing for the buffering.
  8.
  9.
  10. === Like-like RNG manipulation ===
  11.
  12. Hard reset after getting the feather.
  13.
  14. Make your way to the screen with the toilet house. Maple may or may not appear on your way there, but it doesn't matter. (I previously thought that it did, which caused some routing headaches!)
  15.
  16. Harvest the gasha nut then enter the toilet house. Do the toilet warp. In the old man's house, slash your sword until you hear the tones:
  17. ... mid mid high mid mid high
  18.
  19. Then manipulate the like like by slashing the sword once when link's and the like-like's vertical midpoints intersect.
  20.
  21.
  22. === The Skip ===
  23.
  24. Setup A:
  25.
  26. Continuation of the manip used for the like-like. Note that leevers will mess up RNG manipulations like keese, unless you walk frame-perfectly (in straight lines) through rooms that contain them. So after walking 2 screens left, you walk down and around the trees so that you can walk straight up on the next screen.
  27.
  28. After entering the cave, do not move diagonally at all. This is important for subpixel manipulation. If you ignore the subpixel manipulation you have a 50/50 chance of getting it if you do everything else correctly.
  29.
  30. Swing your sword while facing down and hold it. Poke the wall and hold down-left to advance left 3 times. This manipulates the subpixel value to be high enough for the skip.
  31.
  32. Slash your sword 3 times.
  33.
  34. Do the last slash facing upwards, and hold the sword. Do not move diagonally at all.
  35.
  36. Still holding the sword out, move to the next screen and keep going right until you're close to the edge of the hole. If you're just one pixel away from the edge, move to the top wall and poke the wall to advance right once. Link's feet are an excellent visual to use when determining if he's on the furthest pixel.
  37.
  38. Move back down to line up with the gel.
  39.
  40. Wait a bit until the moldorm approaches a specific position (TODO: image) and pause / buffer. The window is fairly wide as long as you pause on this frame or later. Unpause and hold the bomb button.
  41.
  42. Pause on the first frame of the 5th and final red flash the bomb makes (1-frame window). Unpause while holding the bomb button and right to throw it. Quickly pause again.
  43.
  44. Buffer until the frame the gel jumps on (1-frame window). This frame has an audio cue from the gel jumping. Unpause and hold feather + right. If done correctly you will reach the other side.
  45.
  46.
  47. Other notes:
  48. - If you get the correct frames for throwing the bomb and jumping, but you immediately fall into a hole, that's a sign that your subpixel value isn't high enough.
  49. - You must be facing up (or down I guess) before throwing the bomb. There may be larger frame windows when facing right, but then your y-position must be pixel-perfect for some reason. That's not really a concern if you're facing up or down, for some reason.
  50. - If you're using frame advance on an emulator, the visual cues may be offset by 1 or 2 frames.
  51.
  52.
  53. Setup B:
  54.
  55. Use for practice or as a backup. Much like manip A with these changes:
  56.
  57. Save and hard reset in the cave.
  58.
  59. You slash your sword until you hear the pattern:
  60. high mid high mid high mid high mid high
  61. This is 4 advances after the seed used for d3 RNG.
  62.
  63. When pulling out the bomb, you pause sometime after the moldorm's head adjusts to face directly right. Again the window is wide, but this is the first acceptable frame: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lc9j6bzu0f7ryhx/moldorm_right.bmp?dl=0/ages/moldorm_right.bmp
  64.
  65.
  66. == RNG for ring & rupees ==
  67.
  68. Hard reset after getting the rope.
  69.
  70. Go to the gasha tree screen and listen for slash sounds:
  71. ... mid mid high mid mid high mid mid mid
  72.
  73. then harvest.
  74.
  75. Rupee manipulation:
  76.
  77. Remember to visit the ember tree screen on the way to rafton.
  78.
  79. 23 advances (including bushes), dig on the ring shop screen
  80.
  81. 9 advances (including bushes), dig on the beach on the screen after getting the gloves
