  1. -Set it up as a configurable product
  2. -Have the main image for the configurable product be a display of many different types shown together (a gorilla eraser, next to a rhino, and an elephant etc)
  3. -If you wanted a few erasers to have their own photo, you could add additional images to the Configurable product through the Images tab.
  4. -you need some configurable fields
  5. -and then you need normal products that cover every permutation of the options
  6. -so for you the field would be animal
  7. -then you could create a configurable product and have all the options selectable from there
